What a couple of days! Representing the Rad voice at the @RCRadiologists #RCRGlobalAI conference, followed by a visit to @UKParliament to see @timfarron fight once again for improved Radiotherapy services in our NHS. Thank you @radiotherapy_uk for having me there! @SCoRMembers

A very timely article coming out from @NickTriggle and @bbchealth today. Sat on the 2nd day of this global AI Conference in Westminster on medical imaging and Oncology and great to see interest in how #AI will shape improved cancer care. @SCoRMembers @RCRadiologists #RCRGlobalAI

Statistically during this talk 8 people will have a stroke. Half of these are likely to die too. We must do better. AI has provided a huge part in improving services but staffing, working weeks and services need investing in. @SCoRMembers #RCRGlobalAI @RCRadiologists

And 2 areas that must shape a healthcare revolution are:

1) AI in healthcare. Simple but this MUST be integrated for the sake of improved care

2) genomics in health. Targeting healthcare (including Oncology obvs) for positive outcomes is essential

2 main takeaways from this final session:

1 good quality care is cheaper. Less complications, better outcomes @halliday_kath
2 Not work as silos under the guise of protecting our own interest. Societies, colleges, bodies must work collaboratively for the greater good @DomCushnan

Healthcare disparities around the world. As a world leading health are system, the UK has a moral and ethical responsibility when looking at overseas workforce coming to us. #RCRGlobalAI @RCRadiologists @SCoRMembers
