@RevLaurieinLex As someone helping run a local food bank in North Omaha that started when the pandemic hit, I can attest to how much a small donation helps. The average bag of food we give a family to help feed them for a week is $17.

@KaraNSlade Thanks. I had a bunch of kidney stones (36 of them...) while I was in seminary and thought we had figured out what was causing them...so this has been a little bit frustrating.

In the last month I’ve had an ER visit, overnight hospital stay, and 2 surgeries....all having to do with kidney stones. I have 1 more surgery to go on the kidney stones....

I’m lucky that the Episcopal Church has good health insurance for its clergy, so my out of pocket costs won’t be bad....but y’all, this system is so broken.
