I don't know about advanced tech but what India has successfully managed to invent, is a system of Governance where nobody is responsible, nobody is accountable and nobody is to be blamed.

We have created such a convoluted Chakravyuha of responsibilities and jurisdictions, that once a citizen enters, the can't exit.

We have also successfully invented the world's first perpetual motion machine for blame, where the blame game can go on and on forever.

For example, you complain that Mumbai roads are atrocious. Because they are atrocious.

Then it starts.

The centre says it is a state issue. The state says it is a municipal corporation problem.

The municipal corporation says it is a PWD issue. PWD then points a finger to the Roads and Bridges department. The road people pass the blame to MMRDA.

Then MMRDA passes it back to PWD. PWD then passes it on to the Tahlisdar saying it is a land acquisition issue. Tahsildar then sends an FYI to the Block development officer.

The block development guy suddenly brings in Mahanagar Gas into this.

By this time you as a citizen have become like Abhimanyu. You are so tired after breaking thru rings and rings of paperwork that you, instead of fighting, start adjusting.

You give up.

Because India has managed to create a system where the buck never stops.

We have created a football game where people can keep passing the blame like a ball, for an infinite period of time, but never score a goal.
