Armed Forces Reopen Water Supply to Gezira Project After Liberating the Area

The Armed Forces have reopened the water supply from Bridge 57, a vital source that provides water to large parts of the Gezira Project. This comes after the liberation of the area from the control of the Rapid Support Militia (Janjaweed).

During their occupation of the area, the militia had deliberately cut off the water supply to the Gezira Project, depriving the region of essential resources. The reopening of Bridge 57 is a significant step toward restoring normalcy in the area and ensuring the resumption of agricultural and livelihood activities that heavily depend on the Gezira Project.

This action reflects the Armed Forces' commitment to addressing the needs of local communities and rehabilitating vital infrastructure that was neglected or damaged during the occupation. However, there are still those who attempt to equate the two sides, ignoring the stark difference between a national military institution and a militia that committed crimes against civilian
