Thousands of Farmers are coming to Kisan Ghat, Delhi to voice their opposition against opening up domestic #agri markets for cheap/subsidized U.S food produce in the proposed US~India Trade deal; as usual Govt responded by arresting farmers and putting barricades to stop farmers.
I still see discussions amongst folks who say there is no point in sharing/talking/participating in whats going on in the country. I am kinda one of those folks. I dont have time or usually spend my time building opinions or thinking about most of these things.
The core idea being, I'm privlaged enough and I'll just make my bubble stronger.
Ive told the same to a lot of my friends and I usually feel its much better to work on making my bubble stronger if im going to live in India than try to change it.
But I realized something recently. There is no bubble strong enough. No matter what you do or dont do, one day it'll bite you in your ass.
Simple example from my case, one day my RO filter malfunctioned, didn't realize, drank that water and both me and my wife got sick for almost a month. Idt i have still recovered fully.
Point being, things will get so bad eventually, the corrupt system will be so deep, there will be no way to fix it.
I was mad. Extremely mad, at how bad the quality of tap water is that I got sick. I wanted to outrage, complaint and get something as basic as water fixed. But where do I go? Whom do I complain to? Who will even listen to me?
Similar things will happen to a lot of folks I feel(it already does at a large scale) and then you realize wtf is happening around you.
So sometimes when people get together to change something, when it does get this big, stop think and analyze.
" I dont jump on trends", buddy this ain't a trend. This is an opportunity for you me and everyone else to make a difference. Change the system a little, make it accountable and hope it grows in that direction.
I bought a better RO, I drank bottled water for weeks till I was well. I made my bubble a lil bit stronger. But I know for a fact, it wont remain that way.
A bad pothole, a bad hospital, a corrupt official... you'll deal with something or someone one day and you'll realize you have no leg to stand on.
Go, educate yourself, read about it, talk about it. It sounds trivial, it isnt.

🚨 The Resident Doctors’ Association (RDA), AIIMS New Delhi, @AIIMSRDA has written to the Hon’ble President of India, expressing serious concern over reports and widely circulated visuals from the protests at Jantar Mantar.
The letter calls for:
• An independent, impartial, and time-bound inquiry into the events.
• Investigation into allegations of excessive use of force against peaceful protesters.
• Protection of citizens’ constitutional rights to peaceful assembly and free expression.
• Accountability wherever misconduct is established.
• Clarity regarding concerns raised about Sonam Wangchuk’s continued hospitalization and the protection of patient autonomy and medical ethics.
Peaceful democratic dissent should be met with restraint, transparency, and accountability and not unnecessary force.

they can kill the network. they can't kill the crowd. phones pass encrypted messages hand to hand to hand over bluetooth — no internet, no towers, no servers. jammers don't even touch it.

Just seeing this - Nadda ji, don’t lie.
Your government got desperate when they realised the strength of this movement.
Then ended up wasting our 4 hours for this useless meeting.
