conflating staff unions with being anti-union-democracy is 1) standard anti union rhetoric in any 101 training and 2) what business unions use to continue to actively dismantle worker based democracy in their movements.

Staff unions objectively reduce rank and file control. Some of that control may be justified (for example, rank and file shouldn't be allowed to have the right to harass staffers), but the stronger our CBAs are, the more power they take away from the rank and file
