Billy Conn lands a sharp left hook on Bearcat Jones during an exhibition bout in 1945, one of several tune-up appearances Conn made shortly after his discharge from the U.S. Army. The exhibitions marked Conn’s return to the ring following wartime service. Three years earlier, Conn’s younger brother, Jackie Conn, had outpointed Jones over four rounds. Bearcat Jones would finish his career with a record of 4 wins and 41 losses.
