Legendary Oakland football coach John Beam has passed away after being shot on Laney College’s campus Thursday afternoon, according to police.

It was great visiting my guy Delson—aka “Hamma Down”! I first met him as a 17-year-old freshman at Adams State University, and now, five years later, I’ve had the privilege of watching him grow into a strong, driven man. This week, he graduates with his BS degree in Sport & Recreation Management, and we couldn’t be more proud.

Melissa and I dropped off some Panipopo and Musubi to celebrate his big accomplishment. Delson has brought countless laughs and good vibes to our family over the years. Cheers to you, brother—we love you and are beyond proud. Congratulations, my guy! 🤙🏾🎊🎉
