BIN-HELP – Giving Hope, Healing, and Dignity to Those Affected by War, Trauma, and Displacement
With wars dominating headlines around the world, countless victims are being forced to flee conflict zones in search of safety, protection, and hope. BIN-HELP works to respond to the urgent needs of war-affected individuals and families by providing humanitarian assistance,
On the invitation of His Excellency Ngole Philippe Ngwesse, Cameroon Ambassador to Canada, the Executive Director of BIN-HELP was honoured to participate in the celebration of Cameroon’s National Day on May 20, 2026. 🇨🇲
The human cost of war is devastating families, women, children, and youth.
As conflicts rise and humanitarian aid declines, trauma, displacement, hunger, mental health struggles, and hopelessness continue destroying lives. BINHELP provides support to war victims in Canada. 🇨🇦
At a time when our world is afflicted by so many conflicts, particularly in the Middle East, Christians must, more than ever, strive for full unity so that we may bear witness together to the Prince of Peace. In doing so, we can be confident in the powerful intercession and example of the countless martyrs who have suffered for the name of Christ. #ChristianUnity
The world says survive by stepping on others.” Ece Temelkuran
But as a war survivor & founder of BIN-HELP, I’ve learned another truth:
We survive through humanity, not competition.
Through #HomeAgain, we rebuild belonging for those who’ve lost everything.

Papa: Many children died in Iran and Lebanon. We must promote a culture of peace instead of violence. I received letters from grieving families; I saw photos of children I lost in the war. As a priest, I am not in favor of war. Let us seek answers in peace and humanity.
He didn’t die on land.
He died at sea, TRYING to escape.
A Rohingya youth has died during a dangerous journey by boat, sparking calls for justice.
Pause for a moment and think about that.
For many Rohingya, this is the reality. With no safety in their homeland and no real future in refugee camps, some are left with no choice but to risk these journeys.
Overcrowded boats. Long days at sea. Uncertain outcomes.
Some make it.
Many do not.
This is not just one story.
It reflects a larger crisis, where people are forced to choose between staying in hardship or risking their lives to leave.
That is not a real choice.

🌍🚩The Pan-Africanism Summit Against Imperialism (PASAI 2026)
As Nairobi prepares to host the Africa-France Summit from 11-12 May 2026, a powerful counter-movement is rising. While official channels frame the upcoming "Africa-France Partnerships for Innovation and Growth" as a development bridge, progressive organisations across Africa are sounding the alarm.
The Pan-Africanism Summit Against Imperialism (PASAI) is therefore being held as a direct response and Counter-Summit to challenge what organisers describe as a rebranded offensive of neocolonialism through the Africa-France Summit.
➡️ Why this matters now
Following the recent withdrawal of French forces from the Alliance of Sahel States, the 2026 Africa-France Summit marks a strategic shift. For the first time, this summit is being held in a non-Francophone country (Kenya), signalling France's intent to establish a new foothold in Africa, particularly East Africa.
➡️ Key concerns of the Counter-Summit
The PASAI organisers argue that the official summit’s focus areas—such as climate change, digital innovation, and energy transition—are merely masks for exploitative interests. Their primary concerns include:
* Militarisation: The arrival of 800 French troops in Kenya following a new defence cooperation agreement.
* Economic exploitation: The search for cheap labour, raw materials, and high-interest loan returns under the guise of "partnerships."
* Historical precedent: Enduring poverty in West African nations after decades of French influence is a warning for the rest of the continent.
➡️ The campaign for resistance
Coinciding with the official dates in May, PASAI will serve as a hub for anti-imperialist education and mobilisation. The campaign features:
* Political education seminars on neocolonialism, war, and environmental diplomacy.
* Mass gatherings to expose the impact of imperialism on the African peoples.
* International solidarity: A call for international organisations to support the movement through amplification, participation, or sponsorships.
By holding this Counter-Summit, organisers aim to offer an alternative vision for Africa—one rooted in genuine sovereignty rather than in imperialism reloaded—for the benefit of foreign powers and local elites.

At the end of Mass in Bamenda on Thursday, as Pope Leo XIV was about to get his car to return to the airport, a little Cameroonian girl ran up to the Pope, and he hugged her, paused for a photo, and gave her a Rosary.
#Peace is not something we must invent: it is something we must embrace by accepting our neighbor as a brother or sister. We do not choose our brothers and sisters: we must simply accept one another! We are one family, inhabiting the same home: this wonderful planet that ancient cultures have cared for over millennia. #ApostolicJourney #Cameroon
War divides; hope unites. Arrogance tramples upon others; love lifts up. Idolatry blinds us; the living God enlightens. All it takes is a little faith, a mere “crumb” of faith, in order to face this dramatic hour in history together — as humanity and alongside humanity. #Peace
