I ask both the teams to respond to official emails and also give an update ASAP.
Or else just state that we cannot process passport so atleast we know an tax paying citizen for more than 53 years cannot apply for passport.

In India it takes 2 secs to send money via UPI and takes over a year to get passport.

There is no audit, no transparency, no communication on why the passport process takes so long.

My mother has been struggling since the last year.
More than 8 visits to both @rpomumbai and @MumbaiPolice MHB Colony, Mumbai branch.
Dozens of calls to both just to get the latest update.

This is a classic example of how lethargic, layed back and disappointing a system can be

@rpomumbai And still my mother has to visit Regional office for the third time now and don't know how many time she visited the local police station.

I have a humble request to the team to look into it and hopefully cancel my application so I can do a TATKAL one.

@rpomumbai And, the police have their own set of documents and processes.

Why can't you just inform the user on the application day that their documents need to be changed or get affidavits.

I have now created one affidavit and now to go and create another.

Well! the grievance has been approved and the E Challan is now revoked.

@MumbaiPolice I am from Dahisar, Mumbai. The challan was also filled for Dahisar east location.
I had a visit to Traffic Police Dahisar division chowki, even they suggested to contact only on email
