@JohnCarneyDE@DelawareDOT We are pleased that the I-95 and 896 Interchange project includes a separated bike/ped connection across I-95. That could have easily been lost as the project moved ahead...but it wasn't and the State deserves significant credit for keeping it in..
We've been promoted!
Thanks to our resident volunteers & groups like @BikeNewark, @WILMAPCO, @DelawareDOT & @Bike_DE, we've been recognized as a Silver-level Bicycle Friendly Community by the @BikeLeague. Thanks to all who made this possible! https://t.co/vLahoxIU8G

The new bike/ped bridge over White Clay Creek, adjacent to Paper Mill Road, was carefully dropped into place yesterday. Finishing work will follow today before it is safe to use and open to the public. Thanks to Parks & Rec director Joe Spadafino for this nice photo.

Around two-thirds of all Dutch children walk or cycle to school, preventing an estimated one million car journeys across the country each morning.
That’s much less strain on their streets, their wallets, and their lives; simply by enabling safe and active travel in their cities.
