Elihu Yale was a slave trader.
Bishop Emory was an anti-abolitionist.
If you aren’t after those universities to change their names, then stfu about #racism 🤨
She believed in a two-state solution too. She proudly wore the keffiyah scarfs in an act of solidarity.
Hamas didn't care.
They slaughtered her at the Nova festival on 10/7 anyways.
Her only "crime" was being Jewish.

Let it be known the the New York Times had this information and chose, instead, to try to provide cover for Graham Platner.
The New York Times is a dumpster fire.
Where is the argument? Bc I don’t see an argument happening in the video.
And the pic of ppl in the water is obviously fake bc one dude is missing a nose and others look like melted wax 🤨
#UPDATE: New pictures, videos and witness accounts are starting to pop up on social media of the last known living moments of #NolanXavierWells at #HornIsland.
Apparently he and a "friend" got into a argument at 4:01 pm.
Platner allegedly broke into a home and sexually assaulted a woman.
Debbie Dingell:
I’m against all that but let’s keep him anyways.
“The Party of Women”
I have now read this highlighted sentence seventeen times because I assumed I wan't actually reading what was written. Surely my eyes didn't actually read this. Maybe someone accidentally pasted in dialogue from "The Onion." back when it was funny. But no.
She is saying that she delayed reporting a rape because she agreed with the accused, politically.
This is one of those moments where, if your IQ is over 85, your brain quietly excuses itself from the room.
We have apparently reached a point where politics has become the emotional-support animal for basic human survival instincts. "Yes, this person committed one of the worst crimes imaginable against me, but we both liked the same tax policy. Awkward."
If your political identity has become so central that it can outweigh reporting your own rape, congratulations: you hve joined a cult. Cults are famous for making people subordinate reality, morality, and self-preservation to the interests of the group.
I hate cults. I hate them a lot.
They don't ask you to ignore facts all at once: they ask for one tiny compromise after another until one day you discover you're explaining away things that should be absolutely indefensible.
What's sad isnt just that people end up there. It's that many of them don't even realize it. They sincerely believe they're making a principled decision when, from the outside, everyone else is wondering why the obvious isn't obvious anymore.
At least religious cults usually promise enlightenment, salvation, eternal life, or an alien spaceship hiding behind a comet. Political cults dont even offer that. They ask you to sacrifice your judgment, your relationships, sometimes even your own well-being in exchange for cable-news talking points, in favor of a politician who will sell you out for a pack of gum.
That's a spectacularly bad trade.
At some point, "my team" has to lose to "the person who committed a violent felony against me." That's not supposed to be a close game.
The allegations of sexual assault against Graham Platner are deeply disturbing. He should drop out and make way for a candidate that can defeat Susan Collins in November.
A single mother put 40 cents into a slot machine at a New York casino and won $43 MILLION. The casino offered her a steak dinner and $2.25 instead. A judge sided with the casino. She walked away with nothing.
– Katrina Bookman grew up in foster care.
– She was homeless as a teenager. Raised four kids on her own as a single mother in New York.
– On August 5 2016 she walked into Resorts World Casino in Queens and put 40 cents into a slot machine called Sphinx Wild.
– Bells went off. Lights flashed. The screen displayed her winnings in full. $42,949,672.76. The biggest slot machine jackpot in American history.
– She took a selfie with the screen. She was already planning what to do with the money.
– A MILLION dollars for her son who wanted to open a barbershop.
– A casino employee told her to come back the next day to collect her winnings after an official review.
– The next day the casino told her the machine had malfunctioned. She had won nothing.
– They offered her $2.25, the amount showing on her printed ticket and a complimentary steak dinner as a gesture of goodwill.
– She said "Really? Are you serious? I felt insulted."
– She refused both and hired a lawyer.
– She filed a 17 page lawsuit against the casino, its parent company, and the slot machine manufacturer.
– Her lawyer argued that even if the $43 MILLION was a malfunction the machine's maximum legitimate jackpot was $6,500. The casino should pay at least that. The casino refused even that.
– The New York State Gaming Commission confirmed the malfunction.
– Every machine in the casino had a small disclaimer printed on it: "Malfunctions void all pays and plays."
– After years of delays including COVID the case finally went to court.
– A judge at Queens County Supreme Court ruled in favor of the casino.
– Katrina Bookman walked away with nothing.
– Not the $43 MILLION, not the $6,500. Not even the steak dinner.
A single mother who grew up in foster care put 40 cents into a machine, watched it display $43 MILLION, took a selfie, came back the next day and was handed $2.25 and a dinner reservation.
Fact check: Sarah Ransome claimed in 2016 emails she had copies of Epstein sex tapes involving Trump, Clinton, Prince Andrew and Branson. She retracted the claims weeks later. In a 2019 New Yorker interview she admitted fabricating the videotape allegations to draw attention to Epstein. No tapes were ever produced or verified. The story is old, self-admittedly fabricated on that point, and lacks corroboration. Resurfacing now adds no new evidence.
I asked the Government about the appalling two-tier policing in Birmingham.
The heckles and jeers from Labour and Tory MPs tells you a lot.
The Deputy Speaker cut me off. They might not care but millions of people do.
