Gardaí Release Bus CCTV In Appeal After Alleged Assault On Waterford To Tramore Service

Gardaí are asking the public to help identify a man captured on CCTV aboard a bus travelling between Waterford and Tramore after an alleged assault on a young girl.

The still, which appears to have been circulated as part of a public appeal, shows a man standing inside a bus with distinctive yellow handrails. He has short dark hair and a short beard, and is wearing a grey hooded top with darker panels and a small badge on the chest. He is holding a grey bag.

Officers have not publicly released a full official statement matching every detail of the clip in readily available reports, but the image is being shared in connection with an alleged assault said to have taken place on the Waterford–Tramore route and recently featured on crimecall.

Anyone who recognises the man, was a passenger on the service, or has further footage is being urged to come forward. Gardaí treat assaults on children and young people as a priority and are appealing for witnesses rather than asking the public to approach anyone they believe may be the person in the image. We have tweaked the image for better clarity, it may help identify the suspect.
