BackupSheep update! Pushed significant amount of code. Over the weekend I will complete the docker file updates to run BackupSheep on your server. https://t.co/KcbCx9NIQF
@madas_io Yes. Iโm removing all the extra fluff ๐ I added so much unnecessary functionality. Plus also upgrading all dependencies and sdks to latest version.
I believe that using the BackupSheep codebase makes it quite straightforward to develop a cloud monitoring application, as it already includes functionality to integrate with numerous cloud services. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice?
@skhaz@euboid Yes itโs not perfect & depends on products you want to use. You donโt have to run everything on same cloud. I have used combination of AWS, Google Cloud, Azure and Hetzner at one point.
For instance, you can link AWS and DigitalOcean accounts. This setup automatically synchronizes all the servers and utilizes their public IPs to check their status via ping. Additionally, it is capable of monitoring the server's operational state, whether it's active, powered off, rebooting, or terminated.
All the same storage providers. I think there will be support for 25+ storage providers.
There will be no paywall or paid addons. ๐๐ป
Possibly a hosted version or commercial support at some point.
