My father has been under arrest for 845 days. For the past six weeks, he has been kept in solitary confinement in a death cell with zero transparency. His sisters have been denied every visit, even with clear court orders allowing access. There have been no phone calls, no meetings and no proof of life. Me and my brother have had no contact with our father.

This absolute blackout is not a security protocol. It is a deliberate attempt to hide his condition and prevent our family from knowing whether he is safe.

Let it be clear: the Pakistani government and its handlers will be held fully accountable legally, morally and internationally for my father’s safety and for every consequence of this inhumane isolation.

I call on the international community, global human rights organisations and every democratic voice to intervene urgently. Demand proof of life, enforce court ordered access, end this inhumane isolation and call for the release of Pakistan’s most popular political leader who is being held solely for political reasons.

Justice Mansoor saved Qazi Faez Isa in the reference (turning 5-5 into 6-4), yet Isa repaid him by ensuring he would never wear the CJ’s robe.

Justice Minallah rolled out the red carpet at the airport for a thrice-disqualified convict who was then spared court appearances altogether, while an armoured van stood outside Islamabad High Court ready to bundle Imran Khan on the very night of the no-confidence motion. Both abandoned Bandial and lined up behind the Isa camp.

And then there is AGP Makhdoom Ali Khan: he stood before the Supreme Court and defended the ECP’s decision to snatch PTI’s election symbol, knowingly crippling a level playing field before a single vote was cast. Months later, the same lawyer appeared for PML-N to argue that the reserved seats made vacant by that very crippling should now lawfully go to his clients. He helped break the process, then helped the beneficiaries profit from the breakage.

Only after the judiciary lay in ruins did these three discover the train had already jumped the tracks. Their late awakening changes nothing. The wreckage is complete.

Imran Khan remains in complete solitary confinement with no access to family, lawyers, books, or media.

He has been cut off entirely from the outside world.

“I am completely isolated. My family is not allowed to meet me.

No one is allowed to speak to me.

I’m not being given my books, newspapers or access to TV.

I am not allowed to meet my lawyers.

It’s a complete violation of my human rights.”

His wife, Bushra Imran, has recently suffered an electric shock, carries insect bite wounds from her cell, and is forced to shower with muddy water.

Family visits are banned and even her meetings with Imran Khan have been cancelled.

This mental and physical torture of both violates not only Pakistan’s jail rules but also the most basic principles of human rights.
