"Trust me bro" isn’t the source, the promise was made publicly via social media by Lahore Qalandars after their PSL 8 win.
They said plots would be given to players and support staff. A lot of us were part of that journey, and we’re still waiting.
I’m the one behind @AskQalandars. I worked with Qalandars for 5 years on the digital side.

🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨
Reports have emerged that the @lahoreqalandars management failed to fulfill their promise of awarding plots to players and staff members following their historic #PSL8 win. The promise, which was said to include not just the team but also the management and social media staff, has allegedly gone unanswered.
Sources claim that repeated queries by members of the management regarding the promised plots have been ignored. One frustrated member of the social media team has even launched a campaign under the hashtag #AskQalandars, saying he is still waiting for any official response from the franchise owners.

I recently came across a comment reportedly made by Virender Sehwag about Babar Azam — something along the lines of "if Babar was born in India, he’d be fixing tires, not dreaming of becoming Kohli 2.0." I’m not sure if it’s authentic, but I want to share my thoughts either way.
In Pakistan, we genuinely admire and respect Virat Kohli. We love cricket, and we love great cricketers — regardless of whether they’re from India or elsewhere. Personally, I’m not a die-hard Babar Azam fan, but I can acknowledge his class and skill. That said, comparisons with Kohli are unnecessary. Both have carved their own paths, and both deserve respect for what they’ve achieved.
What doesn’t make sense is why someone like Sehwag — a legend in his own right — would say something so dismissive. And why do we, in general, elevate cricketers to god-like status? I’m 100% in favor of India-Pakistan friendship, but I’ve noticed that comments like these often come from the Indian side. They don't just reflect poorly on Babar — they reflect the speaker's own mindset.
In my view, Virat Kohli is a more complete player than Babar, no doubt. But that doesn’t take anything away from Babar’s brilliance. Comments like these don’t harm Babar — they simply show a lack of grace and humility.
Cricketers from both countries are heroes to millions. They should think before they speak, because their words shape public perception. Let's not let ego overshadow the legacy they’ve built.

Not long ago, Lahore Qalandars were the PSL’s biggest disappointment. By 2025, they’d won 3 titles in 4 years under Shaheen Afridi. What changed? Visionary leadership—and belief.
