Aspect now supports JPEG XL, a new and free JPEG successor that offers substantial improvements in terms of compression and features, such as HDR. If you are using TIFF or JPEG now, we highly recommend to try it out!

@auburnsounds We are using a static build of libjxl with manually translated headers. This is currently on an internal repository but we'll put it on GitHub/code.dlang.org.
Preview 32 introduces new loupe and zoom features for even more efficient organization workflows, as well as the new fullscreen view mode with slideshow support.

@auburnsounds@D_Programming There are some pending design changes to the code, as well as some tidying-up that should be done first before it sees the light of the public. But the plan is to eventually put it on https://t.co/z9u7t1IPr1.
@auburnsounds@D_Programming Most of it are bindings and a few small packages, such as trashcan and xdgpaths. The most notable ones are dmdscript for the scripting interface and observable as the central means to dynamically connect components together.
@lgworld Hi @lgworld, the scanning times that you got, definitely sound way off. The pre-scan is currently required to be able to provide a good user experience afterwards, but maybe we can find some kind of middleground there. Can you send us a DM so that we can try to find the culprit?
With preview 26, we replace the comma separated keyword list with a more polished, tag like UI. It is now easier to merge and add new keywords. Additionally, we have added new search features and made the user interface snappier.

You can now sync your photos without the cloud!
With Preview 25, Aspect can now share libraries within your home/studio network. No need to upload anything to the cloud — everything stays on your devices.

@dahanbn We are currently working intensively on the network sync feature and plan to release a new preview version shortly. If nothing big gets in the way, we expect to release the first stable version mid 2023.
We just released preview 24.
You can now define your own metadata fields and have them saved together with your photos as XMP metadata. Also, the local collection bar has received a UI refresh to make the keyboard shortcut feature more clear.

Preview 22 is out and comes with full GPU based color management. If you have a wide-gamut monitor, your photos now look vibrant and color perfect.
