Some want to close the Great Highway and make a park. Some argue it's a bad thing for the Sunset and Richmond.
Not really a partisan issue...
...so why is the "Open the Highway" movement full of right-wing reactionaries and former recall organizers?

Sports media needs to cover this more: Oakland A's Esteury Ruiz was sent to the minors with a.429 batting average. Brent Rooker the Aโs sole all-star, was benched. What they have in common is wearing wristbands in solidarity w/those protesting the move out of Oakland. Owners suck
Itโs important @LondonBreed@sfbos and @SFMTA_Muni understand these deaths are the inevitable result of the choice to prioritize motorist convenience (and property) over human lives. Offering thoughts and prayers without pouring cement is identical to R cowardice on gun control.
Please take a minute today to show your support to the Anchor Brewing workers in their efforts to purchase and run the brewery as a worker co-op by signing this petition. https://t.co/dYOWYpFwXz
Please take a few minutes to read the story of what *actually* went wrong at Anchor Brewing. (Hint: it had nothing to do with unionization)

RT AND PASS IT ON!!!
Hey baseball fans going to the All Star Game.
Top of the 5th inning: Stand and remain silent for the first at-bat in Unity for @Athletics fans. After the at-bat chant Sell the team! Help us keep the Aโs in Oakland. @Mariners#mariners#AllStarGame#baseball
As planned A's fans were standing and silent during the first batter of the fifth inning
They then broke into "sell the team" chants so loud that the pitcher thought his earpiece was broken
I've got a great many thoughts, none of them good, about the news today from the A's. There's still a lot more to process, but it'll be a while before I can bring myself to care about baseball again.
