.@elonmusk You never told us how you did it. We know people favoring the GOP have helped them for years, starting with Bush v. Gore in 2000, then the touch screen voting systems (example: 18,000 dropped/missing votes in 2006 in Sarasota). So what DID you really do in 2024?
30,000 hours of footage, equivalent to 3 years and 7 months, were filmed to capture the blooming of 77 types of flowers, and the result is spectacular.
It’s a great day to remind Bari Weiss, the CBS News chief now destroying 60 Minutes, that freedom of the press is not a suggestion.
It is a constitutional right.
Scott Pelley says CBS forced him out for refusing to compromise his integrity, for refusing to bend the broadcast to appease the White House.
We must not stay quiet while the people running a major news outlet are accused of choosing partisan games and political interference over telling the public the truth.

Trump’s government has become both a kakistocracy and a kleptocracy—governed by incompetent or unethical leaders who also exploit the state for personal gain.
No pretense. It’s all out in the open.
This is so insanely corrupt, I can’t even believe it.
More than half the donors to Trump’s $400 million White House ballroom just won over $50 billion in new federal contracts in six months.
And here’s the part that should make your blood boil.
Sixteen of these 27 donors were facing federal enforcement actions, antitrust reviews, labor cases, securities charges. Many of those cases have been quietly dropped or scaled back since Trump took office. You write a check, your legal problems disappear. That’s not a coincidence.
The White House won’t even release the full donor list. They’re hiding it on purpose, because daylight is the one thing pay-to-play can’t survive. A federal judge already ruled ballroom construction has to stop until Congress authorizes it.
Government is supposed to serve the people, not auction itself off to the highest bidder. When access goes to whoever pays the most, working families always end up paying the price.
We either end the corruption, or the corruption will end us.

@igorbobic The timing of all this stuff about Platner is obviously meant to hurt him, but after 30 years of Collins, I bet every single Maine Democrat & independent will vote for him.
I like to think most everything they ruin can be rebuilt or brought back, but for those who care about this country and it’s history, the mindless destruction and spoilage by Trump and his boneheaded flunkies is almost unbearable.
The federal government just banned bison from public land in Montana.
Not cattle.
Bison.
Interior Secretary Burgum revoked grazing permits for 950 bison
on 63,000 acres of federal land in northeastern Montana.
The reason?
Bison raised for conservation don't count as livestock
under a 1934 law.
Bison raised for meat and milk? Fine.
Bison raised to restore a native species to its native land? Get out.
Meanwhile, cattle ranchers across the West keep grazing on your land.
For $1.69 a month.
One cow. One calf. Thirty days. $1.69.
On land that belongs to every American.
The Cheyenne River Sioux. The Coalition of Large Tribes —
50+ Native nations. Defenders of Wildlife.
They all filed formal protests.
They called it exactly what it is.
"DEI for cows."
The bison have until September 30 to be gone.
Who decided cattle belong on public land more than bison do?

"People sometimes ask me why I’m so hung up on Bari Weiss and the answer is that it’s because her project is essentially the same as Donald Trump’s project." Scott Pelley gets it, too. Today's Triad from JVL (link in reply):
