@Acyn The little man doesn’t have an independent critical thought in his head. All he ever does is read off of his Democratic Party cheat sheet full of vitriol and insults.
All of us strongly condemn this execution — it is nothing less than state murder by the Islamic Republic of Iran. No civilized nation should tolerate the hanging of a 19-year-old boy for the “crime” of showing compassion.
That said, Mr. President @POTUS , with respect: Masih Alinejad does not represent the Iranian people or the real opposition to the regime.
Appearing anti-regime on the surface does not make someone a genuine ally. People like her spend 80% of their time criticizing the Islamic Republic and 20% working — directly or indirectly — in ways that help it survive.⚠️
She refuses to recognize Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi as the legitimate leader and symbol of the Iranian opposition. Why? Because she knows that if the regime falls and real leadership takes over, her “human rights activist” business model will come to an end.
Executions, prisons, and suffering have unfortunately become her funding source — grants and donations from Western institutions that keep flowing as long as the horror continues. The day the Islamic Republic collapses, that entire industry shuts down.
Mr. President, before promoting her further, I respectfully suggest you watch her past anti-Trump and anti-Israel statements. You are inadvertently boosting someone who has repeatedly attacked you and stands against the very values and allies you support.
Real change in Iran will come from the Iranian people themselves and authentic leaders they trust — not from professional activists whose careers depend on the regime’s continued existence.
The Islamic Republic’s criminal regime has executed Erfan Esfandiyari, an 18-year-old hero of Iran’s National Revolution, along with Gol Mohammad Mohammadi, a 23-year-old Afghan national.
His execution followed proceedings that failed to meet even the most basic standards of due process and a fair trial. It was carried out despite earlier warnings that detainees in this case faced an imminent risk of execution.
The Islamic Republic continues to use the death penalty as an instrument of political repression, intimidation, and collective fear. Direct responsibility for this state killing rests with the regime’s leadership, judiciary, and every official involved in his arrest, prosecution, sentencing, and execution.
The Office of Prince Reza Pahlavi extends its deepest sympathies to Erfan Esfandiyari’s family and loved ones. We call on Iranians inside and outside the country to be the voice of Erfan and of all prisoners who remain at risk of execution, and to ensure that their names and circumstances are not buried in silence.
We also urge democratic governments, international institutions, and human rights organizations to take immediate and effective action to prevent further executions and to increase pressure on the Islamic Republic.
Those who ordered, facilitated, and carried out this killing must understand that these crimes will neither be forgotten nor ignored. In a free Iran, all those responsible will be held accountable before an independent court, under the rule of law, with full respect for due process and the right to a fair defence.
@MarkWarner You hate America and all who serve. You’re the one who sent thousands of young men and women to their deaths and catastrophic injuries over the past 20 years.
Shame on you.
The next couple of months will show that karma is a bitch. You will lose your reelection bid.
I'm tired of being told that, to be a progressive, I now must swear allegiance to crazy ideas.
I'm a strong Democrat, with a winning bipartisan track record. I'm rooted in progressive ideals and policies: criminal justice reform, Green New Deal, Medicare for All, free education, clean air and water. These are ideas I have fought for my entire adult life.
But some people in groups like the DSA are pushing an agenda FAR outside those ideals. Supporting Hamas is not progressive. "No police, no prisons, no borders" is not progressive. Celebrating the murder of Israeli civilians is not progressive. These ideas are REGRESSIVE.
If there were no police or prisons, if anyone in your neighborhood could do whatever they wanted, while politicians cheered on terror groups — would that represent PROGRESS to you? No, that would be a step back. Those are REGRESSIVE ideas.
On the other hand, if everybody could see a doctor when they got sick, get a good, free education and breathe clean air — would that represent progress? Yes. Those are PROGRESSIVE ideas.
They are NOT the same thing. And the difference matters.
Some defend the far left by claiming they only want Nordic-style social democracy. If that were true, I might applaud them. I want those policies, too! But what does universal healthcare have to do with Hamas? With abolishing all law enforcement? With erasing all borders? With treating every wealthy person as a villain? Ideas matter. And these are terrible ideas.
Right now, extremists are trying to sneak backwards proposals into our party, hoping mainstream Democrats are too frustrated with MAGA and the Democratic Party establishment to notice.
But we see you.
Yes, we want our Democratic Party to be a big tent. But we don’t need "party poopers. So STOP pooping in the punch bowl — and telling us the turds are ice cubes.
They aren't. And we are smart enough to know the difference. 💩

In a stunning act of defiance, fearless women in Bandar Abbas, southern Iran, gathered tonight to belt out songs cheering US strikes hammering the terrorist Iranian regime.
“Keep going. You’re doing great!” they chant.
We must liberate these heroic women. Free Iran now!
In Iran, more and more people continue to leave Islam. Following the closure of more than 50,000 mosques, Iranians are now discarding their Qurans.
In the small city of Firuzabad alone, thousands of Qurans, weighing more than a ton in total, were found dumped in a river.
Hey working people of Northern Virginia- this is how Democrats think about you. She thinks you’re stupid. Now they say it out loud.
I hope Comstock never needs any future repair services.
