I don't think it's hyperbole for @AlboMP to now suggest Morrison resign as Prime Minister.
It's not just the 100k infected. It was Morrison's insistence we open up. His abject failure to prepare for the Omicron wave with free RATs, and appropriate levels of PCR testing.
Libertarian MP @_davidlimbrick has asked the Victorian government what they will do "to ensure that 6 News can continue operations" if a social media ban for under-16s goes into effect

The legal max a person can donate to a candidate is $3300.
But, when billionaires like Elon Musk exploit our broken campaign finance laws to donate $45 million a month to a candidate, we’re no longer a democracy and it’s no longer an election — it’s an oligarchy and an auction.
This election has the biggest difference ever between how we voted and the MPs that now represent us. Labour should follow the policy of their unions, Labour conference and many of their own MPs and back electoral reform. Add your name: https://t.co/dHeMPCNtIb
While I'm delighted to see the back of the Tories, this election should remind us that our electoral system is not fit for purpose. It should not be possible to achieve a massive majority on a minority of the vote.
@AustralianLabor@LMChesters If for some unfathomable reason you really are incapable of a more morally credible stance then you should have tried much harder to fudge your differences with senator Payman. Terrible optics (apart from anything else) and a massive own goal. Baffling inflexibility.
@AustralianLabor@LMChesters Unity of caucus or unity of rank and file? If 'unity matters' why does the government deviate from party policy?
The cohort of youth voters knew little of your '133 year tradition' of 'discipline'. You've just given them a crash course and I'm guessing they're pretty disgusted.
The US presidency is the ultimate single-member electorate.
With all the astronomical levels of democracy-killing flukiness and rigidity implied by that.
@reynoldsrd@jonobri Very strong agree. Single member electorates of any kind are the worst, all the way up to the US presidency. What more needs to be said?
@jonobri Single member wards are the worst: you get this tiny pocket of disengaged voters and a dozen people can vote in a lunatic and there’s nothing anyone else can do about it
Big shoutout to the media for their exemplary restraint in foregoing saturation coverage of the recent spree killing to avoid the well known risk of inspiring copycats among the weak minded. Not.
@LocalElectionAU MPs winning seats with just 27% of the vote, sounds like we should instead implement a multi member voting system so the other 73 people are represented
This is regressive and anti-democratic. I smell a major party stitch up. Where was the consultation? Where is the rationale? Was this taken to election? Net result will be: FEWER ratepayers will be represented by their first choice. (And that's the whole idea.)
🚨 MASSIVE NEWS 🚨
