@Delta Amazing that you can move toddlers' seats on a family without notifying us and then refuse to give us our seats back. And then disconnect our call on us, rather than fix your own mistake.
@kendrictonn If you’re not already aware of the “imputed rental income tax deduction” look it up. I feel it’s the same thing, a category of “if I do something someone else would pay me for, but on something I own, how is it valued for tax purposes?”
@DPearsonPHL It’s worth pointing out that this photo is famously using forced perspective. The view in this picture never existed in a way that a person would ever experience (it’s the same as when you see photos of people on a hill in front of a gigantic moon).
@KennyGoo Camden should probably drop to the 1 minute range. Google maps doesn't pick it up when giving walking time estimates, but there's a nice big passage through this building right here that gets you straight to the station without having to walk all the way around that building.
@milan_tomicc@abakcus It’s definitely an example of “if you already understand how fourier works, this makes perfect sense, and if you don’t it’s absolutely opaque.”
@ZeroSuitCamus He was a land speculator who planted apple orchards on parcels for cider pressing and edibility lottery tickets to settlers throughout the US.
@chaseweezerfan @sam_d_1995 Sure but it’s a lot of transfers and going the wrong direction to go back out east. Go west. Transfer to go back to Jamaica. Transfer to go to your actual stop. Possibly transfer at Babylon to actually get home.
@EllieYellu@meowingabyss It's making fun of the fact that in CA you can't just do all of your daily travel by foot, and in NYC you walk everywhere. So in CA, if you're walking a long distance, it's probably specifically for exercise, and if you do it in NYC it's because that's just how you get anywhere.
@Nerd4Cities I'd argue that there is an even more alarming number of "anti-urbanists" who also would vote for fascism if it meant 5% less trash on the street?
@normcharlatan Not to mention if it’s paid off, it’s a debt free asset. I could see not wanting something you feel is a risk next to your highly levered asset, but a debt free asset gives you so many options if you don’t want to live next to apartments.
