I have so much respect for the journalists who are joining this effort to push Gannett to do the right things for employees and the general public who want high quality local news coverage
I am proud to stand with my fellow journalists in Georgia to work for better wages, a stabilized newsroom, and the resources to do what we love! #UnionStrong
@CurtPurcell @Atrios@drvolts I think the question is whether the Sears building should specifically be protected. I’d support repurposing if a developer had a credible plan, especially if it would restore Duffy Lane and reduce/eliminate the surface parking. (I’m doing ok if that’s our only difference 😂)
@CurtPurcell @Atrios@drvolts Thanks for this thread. I really appreciate the thoughtfulness and I look forward to hearing more of your thoughts on putting smart policy into action.
@JoeBuscaglia @JayMorrisonATH I don’t understand why this tweet keeps getting shared? Is the rep in the hospital? Did family ask him to share news? And wouldn’t they want to put out a statement that at least makes clear sense from a medical perspective?
@JRBisMe Many yrs ago, I wrote a column abt how AASU & SSU needed better physical connections to nearby commercial. That led to a meeting with SSU person abt what a ped/bike corridor would look like - easy to imagine since already a side road from campus to 52nd. 🤷🏻♂️
Lots of lip service about traffic calming and pedestrian/bicyclist safety in #Savannah, but it was another brutal year. Good roundup by @drewfav https://t.co/NfnoSTnVIO
I love soccer but the dives largely ruin matches like this. @FOXSports could at least point out that Argentina players dive (& writhe) routinely. Arg is the better team here, they don’t need to do this
@NathanDominitz Sorry to hear this news, Nathan! You’ve done so much great work over the years that has benefited the community. I look forward to hearing about your next moves.
