Section 208 of the Voting Rights Act allows voters with disabilities to receive help from a person of their choice to return their ballot. Federal law preempts state law. Keep fighting, friends 💙
it is NOT “handicap parking”, or “disabled parking”. we are NOT “handicapped people”. it’s ACCESSIBLE parking, and we are PEOPLE with disabilities. please, update your vocabulary.
@RohnWBishop i’m in no way saying i have the power to control who gets to have the flag lowered in their honor. but i will NEVER say that an SUV driving through a parade killing innocent people is not a tragedy. lowering it did not violate flag code.
@RohnWBishop nobody is stoping you from lowering your personal flag in honor of your family tragedy, you have that constitutional right. anyone who wanted to lower it for Rush Limbaugh could have as well. if governor evers orders the flag to be flown, so be it. it’s respect.
@RohnWBishop Our nation flies the flag at half when we are mourning. Usually, this is for the death of a government official, military members, first responders, or national days of remembrance and following tragedy. what happened in Waukesha was tragedy.
@RohnWBishop i would love for you to go and make your statement in waukesha right now. have the parents of that child, the family of the dancing grannies, and the community surround you with anger that you have declared these lives unworthy of recognition.
@RohnWBishop glad to know if you are elected mayor and tragedy were to strike waupun, we would mourn without your condolences. put yourself in waukesha’s shoes, i would be honored that the governor wanted the state to recognize the tragedy of losing these wonderful people.
@RohnWBishop if that was the point of your tweet you completely missed the shot there…the interpretation of your initial statement is that only certain deaths are worthy of lowering the flag, and this tragedy is not worthy. not exactly a good look…
