This is Aquatic in his most vulnerable state. But I know that he is doing so much better now than when I met him. He's stronger, smarter, more focused, and extremely talented. I was happy to purchase this card simply to let him know I care.

See, I am quiet, shy, and introverted. But I took a leap of faith and traveled to New York in 2023 to see what all this Pepe business was about. I stood there in the gallery not knowing anyone, but having written a book that was on display there I felt like I kind of belonged. I went up to this guy who was also looking scared and alone and said "hi". It was Aquatic. He too had ventured out for the first time. He told me how he was so nervous that he could hardly talk. I told him I was exactly the same. It was a brief encounter, but one that I never forgot.

Fast forward to 2025 and I'm back in New York with my wife and daughter. I know everyone in the place. I'm still awkward AF, say the wrong things, and keep quiet most of the time. Then in comes Aquatic. He remembers my name. He talks to my family. I see him again in Brooklyn for @GuyNorcal and @nicedayJules's Biscuits event. The guy is making the rounds. Smiling, chatting. What an amazing transformation. My wife still talks about him and how kind he was to them.

We wanted this card to be truly legendary after all, Satoshi embodies the very spirit of the #Bitcoin blockchain. 🟧₿

Back then, there were no fancy marketplaces. We distributed SATOSHICARD using Swapbots, a creation by Tokenly. Imagine vending machines for tokens: you send crypto, and it dispenses digital assets, primitive, centralized, but revolutionary at the time.

Supply? Ultra-limited. We would drop 5 cards at $10, then 5 more at $20, and so on… Flash sales that escalated fast.

Every time a SATOSHICARD sale launched, chaos followed:

💥 Mempool flooded
💥 Transactions raced to confirm
💥 The hunt was real

I still remember when the price hit $50, huge for a digital collectible in 2015! Today, it’s a piece of history that paved the way for the NFT movement we see now.

We even managed to break Swapbots more than once… and jam the mempool back when Bitcoin was quiet compared to today.

Heavily steeped in Bitcoin lore, The Citadel is the product of over six months of studio work. It is a meditation on wealth creation, memetics, and the shifting architecture of Bitcoin’s power projection.

Though entirely hand-painted, the work reads like a monumental Photoshop composition - layered with visual references to Hieronymus Bosch, Renaissance wealth hierarchy, and the deep aesthetics of 4chan and Reddit culture.

At its conceptual core lies a response to the now legendary 2013 “Bitcoin Time Traveler” post - a mythic artifact of Bitcoin folklore that continues to inform its symbolic language and speculative imagination. Part prophecy, part satire, part warning.

The Citadel will be exclusively on view at the @theBitcoinconf in Las Vegas and available for acquisition via auction through @scarcedotcity.

At NFTLA I was asked what is special or different about fake rares @FAKERARES_XCP

I explained that firstly, we are the longest running blerkchain artist led directory in existence

We have zero treasury and make no money doing the collection - it’s an act of love and promotion of memes

All the cards are owned by the artist and they distribute them as they see fit

And many of the cards and the best of fake rares ppl don’t just sell their memes, they do performative acts , they give them away, etc

What’s that mean - @Carsonated is a perfect example - he’s never sold a fake rare and makes u fly to Wyoming or burn Ryder ripps art to get them etc
