That moment when someone says, "I can't believe you would vote for Trump.”
I simply reply, “I'm not voting for Trump.”
I'm voting for the First Amendment and freedom of speech.
I'm voting for the Second Amendment and my right to defend my life and my family.
I'm voting for the next Supreme Court Justice(s) to protect the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
I’m voting for the continued growth of my retirement and reducing inflation.
I’m voting for a return of our troops from foreign countries and the end to America’s involvement in foreign conflicts.
I'm voting for the Electoral College and for the Republic in which we live.
I'm voting for the Police to be respected once again and to ensure Law & Order. I am tired of all the criminals having a revolving door and being put back in the street.
I’m voting for the continued appointment of Federal Judges who respect the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
I’m voting for keeping our jobs to remain in America and not be outsourced all over the world - to China, Mexico and other foreign countries. I want USA made.
I’m voting for secure borders and have legal immigration. I can’t believe we have actually have flown 380,000 illegal immigrants into our country. I am voting for doing away with all of the freebies given to all of the illegals and not looking after the needs of the American citizens.
I'm voting for the Military & the Veterans who fought for this Country to give the American people their freedoms.
I'm voting for the unborn babies that have a right to live.
I’m voting for peace progress in the Middle East.
I’m voting to fight against human/child trafficking.
I'm voting for Freedom of Religion.
I'm voting for the right to speak my opinion and not be censored. I am voting for the return of teaching math, history, and science instead of indoctrination of our children and pronouns.
I'm not just voting for one person, I'm voting for the future of my Country.
I'm voting for my children and my grandchildren to ensure their freedoms and their future.
BREAKING: The Paramedic who took care of Trump at the Butler Memorial Hospital just gave the most beautiful description of the events of that day, saying she witnessed a version of Trump the media has never shown
"I heard him speak with his wife, his children, and his grandchildren. He let them know that he was safe and that he was being taken care of."
This is the most emotional Trump rally ever. God bless all the heroes from that day.
🔥POWERFUL:
As a woman in the crowd received medial care, Trump stood in silence.
Without being prompted, the entire crowd stood and started singing the Star Spangled Banner.
You will never see this anywhere else. This is what true PATRIOTISM looks like.
BREAKING: Trump just came out with Lee Greenwood personally singing "God Bless The USA."
This Butler rally is officially the greatest Trump rally in history.
I've never felt so patriotic. Not even inauguration day in 2017 topped this.
What's happening in North Carolina right now in the aftermath of Helene is by all rights one of the great scandals in American history. A devastating failure by the federal government. Bureaucratic incompetence and indifference on a catastrophic scale, resulting in the needless deaths of hundreds of Americans. Kamala should lose the election in a landslide just because of this disaster alone. It's that bad. And yet the media ignores the story almost completely.
@VivekGRamaswamy The debate schedule sets up perfectly to replace Biden at the Democrat National Convention after a disastrous performance at the first debate and in time for the new democrat candidate to debate Trump at the second scheduled presidential debate.
The NFL has announced that the so-called "Black National Anthem" will be performed at the Super Bowl.
Of course, in reality, the black national anthem is performed at every Super Bowl, because The Star-Spangled Banner is the anthem of ALL Americans. The effort to create a "black national anthem," and a "black Independence Day" in Juneteenth, is part of a wider project to divide Americans up by race.
Let's get back to the days where Whitney Houston showed ALL Americans how to sing about and celebrate this country.
“Her hair was up in a pony tail, Her favorite dress tied with a bow. Today was Daddy's Day at school, And she couldn't wait to go. But her mommy tried to tell her, That she probably should stay home. Why the kids might not understand, If she went to school alone. But she was not afraid; She knew just what to say. What to tell her classmates Of why he wasn't there today. But still her mother worried......, For her to face this day alone. And that was why once again, She tried to keep her daughter home. But the little girl went to school Eager to tell them all. About a dad she never sees A dad who never calls. There were daddies along the wall in back, For everyone to meet. Children squirming impatiently, Anxious in their seats One by one the teacher called A student from the class. To introduce their daddy, As seconds slowly passed. At last the teacher called her name, Every child turned to stare. Each of them was searching, A man who wasn't there. 'Where's her daddy at?' She heard a boy call out. 'She probably doesn't have one,' Another student dared to shout. And from somewhere near the back, She heard a daddy say, 'Looks like another deadbeat dad, Too busy to waste his day.' The words did not offend her, As she smiled up at her Mom. And looked back at her teacher, Who told her to go on. And with hands behind her back, Slowly she began to speak. And out from the mouth of a child, Came words incredibly unique. 'My Daddy couldn't be here, Because he lives so far away. But I know he wishes he could be, Since this is such a special day. And though you cannot meet him, I wanted you to know. All about my daddy, And how much he loves me so. He loved to tell me stories He taught me to ride my bike. He surprised me with pink roses, And taught me to fly a kite. We used to share fudge sundaes, And ice cream in a cone. And though you cannot see him. I'm not standing here alone. 'Cause my daddy's al ways with me, Even though we are apart I know because he told me, He'll forever be in my heart' With that, her little hand reached up, And lay across her chest. Feeling her own heartbeat, Beneath her favorite dress. And from somewhere here in the crowd of dads, Her mother stood in tears. Proudly watching her daughter, Who was wise beyond her years. For she stood up for the love Of a man not in her life. Doing what was best for her, Doing what was right. And when she dropped her hand back down, Staring straight into the crowd. She finished with a voice so soft, But its message clear and loud. 'I love my daddy very much, he's my shining star. And if he could, he'd be here, But heaven's just too far. You see he is a soldier And died just this past year When a roadside bomb hit his convoy And taught all of us to fear. But sometimes when I close my eyes, it's like he never went away.' And then she closed her eyes, And saw him there that day. And to her mothers amazement, She witnessed with surprise. A room full of daddies and children, All starting to close their eyes. Who knows what they saw before them, Who knows what they felt inside. Perhaps for merely a second, They saw him at her side. 'I know you're with me Daddy,' To the silence she called out. And what happened next made believers, Of those once filled with doubt. Not one in that room could explain it, For each of their eyes had been closed. But there on the desk beside her, Was a fragrant long-stemm ed rose. And a child was blessed, if only for a moment, By the love of her shining star. And given the gift of believing, That heaven is never too far. Post this to let everyone know that our Soldiers will never be forgotten If you don't send it to anyone, it means you're in a hurry and that you've forgotten your friends. Take the time...to live and love. Until eternity..”
For Alex Blumberg (@abexlumberg), good “tape” (interviews) must have stories as a primary ingredient, not uninformative yes-or-no answers.
How does Alex elicit what he would call “authentic moments of emotion”? How do you get people to recount? To naturally tell funny stories? How do you make their lines memorable—concrete and specific—not abstract and general?
Alex has spent more than 20 years thinking about this and testing different approaches.
Alex generally tries to cover three bases: setting (e.g., where, when, who, what), emotions, and details.
Here are some specific phrases that he uses, which I’ve borrowed, and you’ll notice that pseudo-commands are sometimes more effective than questions:
Prompts to Elicit Stories:
“Tell me about a time when . . .”
“Tell me about the day [or moment or time] when . . .”
“Tell me the story of . . . [how you came to major in X, how you met so-and-so, etc.]”
“Tell me about the day you realized ___ . . . ”
“What were the steps that got you to ___ ?”
“Describe the conversation when . . .”
I often use the last with people who, at some point, were considering leaving a job to start a company. I’ll say, “Describe the conversation when you first mentioned to your wife/husband that you wanted to drop this lucrative career in X and start your own company.”
It has never failed to get a good story.
Follow-Up Questions When Something Interesting Comes Up, Perhaps in Passing:
“How did that make you feel?”
“What do you make of that?”

@charliekirk11 It's long past time to dump the current debate format. Limiting answers to 1 minute is a recipe for superficial, simplistic, memorized talking point answers that reveal very little.
@charliekirk11 How do you define Martha and Bret's job? If it's enforcing the silly debate rules, they did okay. Their job should be to facilitate a meaningful dialogue between the candidates. A real debate like the Lincoln/Douglas debate format.
@AlexBrink10 Love the video! The appeal of the Cougs on television might be a little misleading, though. 2015-2019 were Mike Leach years. TV magnet wherever he went.

Every high school student should be required to pass the *same* 128-question civics test required of legal immigrants to become citizens. The fact that this is controversial in America is a damning indictment of our Republic’s health. See test questions below & try it yourself.
