This is not a movie. Security cameras at the Nepal-Tibet border just recorded a flash flood burying an entire border crossing in real time. Ground and aerial footage show the scale of what hit the region. Hundreds still missing.

There is a potentially quite remarkable argument and acknowledgment in yesterday's SCOTUS opinion. I'm going to study this a bit more before I write on it it length, but all six of the Justices in the majority signed off on it by joining the Opinion. Because it is per curiam, the point made can't be attributed to just one of them -- but it is probably better that all six in the majority are seen as the "author" in this regard.

The point is that the Executive branch can suffer "irreparable harm" at the hands of district judges who meddle and interfere with Executive branch operations at the very beginning of Executive branch activity such as that involved here.

The three liberals response to that was "Well, what the Executive was about to do is patently illegal so interfering right at the start is justified."

But the Majority disagreed -- whether the proposed conduct would ultimately be illegal is a question for another day. The instructions to the subordinate officials was to act lawfully. Maybe they do nothing, maybe they do something. It is not for district judges' to prejudge prior to anything taking place.

This point can be extrapolated across much of the lawfare being waged against the Trump Admin. as it changes federal policy on a range of issues.

I could be wrong, but this is the first outright expression by SCOTUS that lower court judges who act without jurisdiction are -- themselves -- doing "irreparable harm" to the Administration.

That goes beyond merely defining and enforcing the law. It is a direct challenge by the six Justices to judicial activism at the district court level.

Andy Kaufman walked onto Johnny Carson’s show pretending he was terrible at impressions then pulled off one of the wildest transformations late-night TV had seen.

He starts as Foreign Man, nervously doing deliberately awful impressions of Archie Bunker and Ed McMahon. Carson and the audience are basically watching a guy who looks completely out of his depth.

Then he says he’s going to do Elvis.

He turns around, changes his clothes, fixes his hair, turns back around and suddenly he’s Elvis.

The voice, the movements, the lip curl, the confidence everything changes. The audience goes from laughing at him to screaming for him.

And just when you think the Elvis impression is the entire joke, Kaufman snaps right back into the awkward Foreign Man character.

That ending is what makes the whole thing work. He made the audience underestimate him before showing them exactly what he could do.

Was Andy Kaufman a genius at controlling an audience, or did the shock of that Elvis transformation make the performance seem better than it actually was ?

“How did that get determined?”
Seat doesn’t flinch:
“It was exposed TWO YEARS later. Went through the courts. People went to jail. That’s the problem… nobody caught it before he was already on the ballot.”
FACT CHECK: 100% TRUE ✅
In 2013, four Indiana Democrats were CONVICTED for forging those signatures — literally copying names off old petitions. Even a former governor’s name was forged. County Democratic Chairman Butch Morgan went to PRISON for orchestrating it.
The thing they swore “never happens”…
HAPPENED.
And a party chairman did hard time for it.
Election fraud isn’t a “conspiracy theory.”
It’s a documented crime.
And they got away with it long enough to change history.

I used to believe that Donald Trump was simply an exceptional president.
But then, I watched in real time as the Mainstream Media (mainstream media), the FBI, intelligence agencies, the CIA, Big Tech, and the entire Washington establishment joined forces in an unprecedented campaign to destroy a single man.
The numerous lawsuits, the two impeachments, the endless hoaxes including the Russia one, the Mar-a-Lago raid, the gag orders, the efforts to remove him from the ballot, the attempts to bankrupt him and throw him in prison... all of that was aimed at preventing him from returning to power. Two attempts on his life followed.
With 92% of media coverage being negative toward him while 78% of that for Kamala was positive, he managed to secure a convincing victory in the last election. How do you explain that?
That's when it became undeniable for me: no one faces this level of coordinated and hysterical opposition unless they represent a true existential threat to the system... The system we all know is corrupt and broken. Ordinary politicians don't trigger this kind of coordinated panic.
At that moment, I stopped thinking of him as a great president.
He is one of the greatest of all time.

The American press spent weeks declaring the Strait of Hormuz lost. They treated every Iranian threat as proof of failure, every quiet night as confirmation that Trump had been outplayed. They ran the Iranian line because it fit the preferred story: the campaign was loud, inconclusive, and already overtaken by deal rumors.

Meanwhile the convoys moved.

Southern lane, Omani coast, transponders dark. Ships that open-source trackers could not see and Iranian radars could no longer find. The sensor network that once turned the strait into a tollbooth had been systematically blinded ... radars first, then the passive cameras and infrared posts on the islands. Insurance guarantees were issued. Captains were called one by one. Oil throughput climbed back toward double-digit millions of barrels a day while the same outlets kept writing as if the choke point remained firmly in Tehran’s hands.

That is not a reporting error. It is ideological malpractice.

When the data contradicted the narrative, the narrative won. When the ships ran dark and therefore invisible to civilian trackers, the absence of public confirmation was treated as proof of Iranian dominance rather than evidence of successful operational security. The press protected the myth of Iranian control because admitting the quiet reopening would have required acknowledging that the “failure” frame was false.

A chokepoint is not owned by the side that still has missiles. It is owned by the side that can still see the traffic. The United States degraded the eyes. The media refused to report the result. That refusal was not neutrality. It was active service to a story they preferred over the one unfolding on the water.
