The Florida Department of Health randomly bought 25 baby formulas from stores, almost 70% of the baby formulas they bought tested positive for heavy metals like arsenic, lead and mercury above legal limits

“The Florida Department of Health has collected 24 infant formulas from seven different brands purchased for multiple locations both online and in stores. Those samples were tested for arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury. What we found in those 24 samples was troubling. - Minnesota recognizes 1,020 medical transportation companies, with almost 900 Somali-owned
- David visited 70, most do not exist but are getting money
- They are located in apartments, liquor stores, wire transfer shops, or grocery stores with no vehicles
- These non emergency medical transport companies on average have 20 vehicles, getting paid $70,000 per vehicle annually
- The Somali companies exist on paper only, with no assets, offices, or vehicles

- Over the last 5 years, the top 102 Child Care Assistance Program recipients included 84 Somali-owned centers

- David says he has observed zero children at these centers over 7 years.
- Facilities receive federal funds but allegedly violate the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VI) by serving only one ethnic group
- The Centers are licensed for large numbers (many 120 kids) but operate with few or zero kids
- There are proper sign-in/sign-out sheets for tracking
- These facilities are also getting paid for staff training at child care facilities, but there are no children so they don’t need that funding
