I'm the man behind the Fireside Gaming YouTube channel.
The focus is on retro games with a new video going up roughly once a week, typically on Friday.
I also check out new games as well from time to time.
Thanks for reading this and take it easy!

What a horrible take. If you love RPGs, embrace them. They can be your favorites and they can make up the entirety of your top 10 for SNES. Also, stop letting AI write your threads.
Every SNES top 10 list on the internet is identical. People just parrot Chrono Trigger and EarthBound because it is the safe, regurgitated internet consensus.
The 16-bit era was not about reading dialogue boxes for 80 hours. It was about rented cartridges, arcade ports, and raw muscle memory.
Here is the actual Top 10 best Super Nintendo games.
Top 10🧵⤵️
Son: Can I play Minecraft, please?
Me: Sure.
Switch: Update Required.
Me: Updates game.
Update makes loads times worse, removes my son's Cat Mario skin, and now requires a linked Nintendo account so that he can pick the skin that came on the cart.
I hate modern gaming.
Godzilla not having an animated series while the Monsterverse is ongoing is a missed opportunity. I grew up on the Hanna-Barbera one and my son is loving the 98 Zilla cartoon. It's crazy they haven't capitalized on Godzilla's resurgence with a new one.
Throwing my hat in the Pragmata ring. First, the game is fun at its core. Good gameplay with its mix of combat and puzzles. Second, Diana is adorable. I enjoy seeing positives comments on how she interacts with Hugh. Makes me believe there's still hope in an overly cynical world.
@zhikos2 If you're running around blind for 10 minutes, it's because you don't know the monster you're hunting. You haven't learned the areas it frequents. You're a rookie hunter. That changes as you play, and is part of the reward/progression in old gen MH.
MH switching away from living life as a hunter, as compared to just fighting monsters, is what ultimately led to me no longer buying the games. World was my last one.
@PRAGMATAgame I don't care how much you deny it. I've already convinced myself that Pragmata is the furthest game in the timeline, taking place some time after the Legends series.

Apparently a year ago today is when I started posting chapters for The Elequan Legacy: Fool's Errand. So if you've not given it a try yet, it's free to do!

My son absolutely REFUSES to leave our phones alone. NOTHING has worked to stop him. And so...I made him one. He's pretty darn pleased with his wallpaper and is already making calls with it. He hasn't "picked" a case yet. Might update if he does.
I've registered a domain name for this in case I end up doing something with it. I've been thinking about the sort of game I'd be (heavily inspired by .hack fragment but not much more), the software architecture, how much time I'd take etc. It honestly sounds like fun.
Don't know what to do or how to feel today, so here's a WIP of the main characters from my book, The Elequan Legacy: Fool's Errand. Perhaps someday it'll eventually become the phone background I always wanted it to be.
Determined to find Myria, Saraya has to rely on the words of an assassin and her own gut instinct to lead her true in chapter 22. However, she is unaware that now, thanks to Lon, someone is coming for her should she succeed in reaching her goal.
