My top 10 N64 games. And Goldeneye isn't in the top three.
It's at 5. Four games beat it and I'll defend every one.
Most "Top 10" lists are the same four Nintendo first-party titles everyone copied off a 1999 GameFAQs thread and never thought about again. Mine isn't that.

Started reorganizing the game shelves about 10 days ago. Here's an update.
Left to right, column by column:
NES and Game Boy
SNES
N64, Wii, DS, 3DS, GameCube, Switch
Genesis
Saturn and Dreamcast
PlayStation 1-4
Xbox, 360, One, Series X
Still a disaster in spots, but it's coming together. I even "future-proofed" it a little.
That empty middle column is reserved for my impending Saturn and Dreamcast collection.
Today Sega turns 66.
The company that lost the console war and somehow made better games while losing it.
The 10 best Sega games ever made. Console doesn't matter. Every one of these sits on my shelf.
Ranked, definitive, no apologies.
You'll make it three deep before you want to fight me.

After I finished getting the game shelf reorganized, I fired up the NES for a little bit and played several games I haven't touched in a while.
Adventure Island, Batman, and Beetlejuice.
I also found out from my doctor today that I have prolonged grief disorder.
I didn't know that was a thing, and after I spent some time reading about it, it definitely explains the way I've been feeling to an absolute T.
Anyhow, today was a good day.
That's the 10.
Sixty-six years of a company that played it loud and fast and built a catalog half this industry is still borrowing from.
Every game on this list still earns its spot on my shelf, and most of them still earn a play. That is the only test that counts.
Happy birthday, Sega!
1. Sonic the Hedgehog 2
The best game Sega ever made. Not Sonic 3. Not Sonic & Knuckles. The second one.
Chemical Plant Zone. The spin dash. Speed that actually felt like speed in 1992.
This is the game that made Nintendo sweat. Everything Sega built after was chasing this high.
@Vas_526 Oh man I've made several top 10 lists for various things - some not even gaming related, that I never posted.
I legitimately brainstorm this stuff and then decide not to post it. lol
