My latest photo assignment for The Guardian “The Gullah Geechee Fight for A Legacy After Slavery”. I traveled between St. Helena, Sapelo Island, Hilton Head Island, and Savannah, GA documenting the descendants of the Gullah Geechee and their fight to preserve their culture.

I’m out taking pictures in Memphis this morning so I stopped by TOPS on Union. Seriously, there is something very Memphis about walking into a bbq spot at 8am.
