Now that Frank Thomas is saying what @shegone03 has been saying for so long, do you think @Teacherman1986 will come back with snarky comments? Hitters are so bad right now that they don't even show the batting average as a stat. As a 40 year baseball fan, the amount of terrible hitters today is embarrassing. I was watching the Dodgers game yesterday and Conforto was at the plate. He started the game hitting .176! That's not a typo! This dude is drawing a major league baseball paycheck hitting 24 points below Mendoza. That's pathetic! Foolish parents are paying unqualified teachers countless thousands of dollars in an effort to turn their kids into awful hitters. And who suffers the most? The fans! We have to sit around and watch 1 2 3 inning after 1 2 3 inning, waiting for some junk middle relief one inning guy to walk two with eight pitches and then give up a long drive to deep left to some guy batting .222 who is 0 for 3 on the day. That's one heck of a boring game! Play baseball, not stats. Hit the ball.
