I am blessed to announce my commitment to Warner University. I thank God, my family, friends, coaches, and everybody who has supported me. I’d also like to thank Coach Rouse and the coaching staff at Warner for believing in me and giving me this opportunity. #GoRoyals

Principal Mike Scicchitano recognized the 75 members of Jesuit's Saint Ignatius Scholars Program on Friday at Convocation, with special recognition for the 8 students, 2 in each grade, who are Ignatius Scholars. The two seniors, Jack Fults and Ben Burke, addressed their classmates and spoke about their experience as Ignatius Scholars.
The Saint Ignatius Scholars Program is an academic scholarship program for students who score in the top 2% on the HSPT when entering high school. From that pool, each year two are selected as Ignatius Scholars and receive half-off tuition all four years at Jesuit. Another three are named Loyola Foundation Scholars and receive 25% off tuition annually. All qualifiers for the program receive $1,000 toward tuition upon enrollment.
After Convocation, the Ignatius Scholars and their families enjoyed a special reception in the MPR. Burke and Fults received from school president Fr. Vincent Giacabazi, S.J. a special plaque depicting Saint Ignatius from a portrait by famed Flemish artist Peter Paul Rubens, in recognition of their four years as Ignatius Scholars. The newest scholars, freshmen Jack Etzkoff and Jevey Solak, spoke to the gathering about their experience.
