@glaist Yes, sometimes. But more often it is because 'scoill' is feminine and therefore the word mutates (changes) after the word 'yn' (the).

The word for woman in Manx is 'ben' (as in Ben My Chree), but we'd say 'yn ven' - the woman, as this noun is also feminine.
