Autism is a hot topic right now. I’m going to say some things I’ve never said publicly. It’s gonna be a long one.

I’m not interested in getting into the debates about it, but I will tell you I’m glad autism is a hot topic right now, regardless of why. People are learning about it. That can’t be all bad, right?

I keep my kid off of here for obvious reasons, but I’m an autism dad. I worry every day about not only her progress, but how the world is going to treat her. What happens after I’m gone. Tons of stuff.

It’s hard and beautiful at the same time. But I know one thing, it makes you appreciate the “smaller” milestones in a way that makes every moment count.

When @JasonKelce invited me to the beer bowl, it wasn’t just cool because I’m a Garage Beer guy and I was gonna get to drink beers. It was because it benefited the @eaglesautism foundation to help kids like mine, too. It stunk to not make it for multiple reasons outside of beer sponsorships and social media.

Autism affects more and more people every day, it seems. I’ve learned more in the last 2-3 years than I could imagine. I learn every day. Maybe this helps the world learn, too.

People can argue about the politics in it all they want, but there’s some good in people learning more about autism, regardless of how they broach the subject.

If anyone that follows me is in the same boat, I’d be glad to talk to you privately about what I’ve learned.

Lord,

You’ve calmed storms before. You’ve shut the mouths of lions and walked with men through fire. So we come to You now, asking You to stand with those in harm’s way—from the quake and this tsunami threat off Russia’s coast.

There are families out there tonight, Lord—moms holding babies, dads trying to lead their homes to safety, first responders moving toward the danger. Be their strength. Be their shield. Be their calm in the chaos.

We ask You to hold back the waters. To guide people to higher ground, not just on the land—but in their hearts. Let this moment open eyes, stir hearts, and remind the world that You are still in control—even when the ground beneath us shakes.

Cover them with Your hand, Father. Protect the innocent. Give wisdom to leaders and courage to those answering the call.

And for all of us watching from a distance—remind us to pray, to help where we can, and to never forget that even in the darkest hour, You’re still the light.

Plus Florio added that it is an issue for Stewart’s camp in part because that language doesn’t appear in the deals recently signed by Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.
