After 16 years, my @YouTube channel (GrimmGreen) was terminated today with no real explanation.
I’ve built my content around harm reduction, helping adult smokers quit, and advocating for science-based policies.
This feels like a huge mistake. If you believe in THR, free speech, and the mission we’ve been on, please help me get YouTube’s attention.
@TeamYouTube I’m asking for a real human to review my case.
I’ve never promoted anything illegal. I’ve never targeted youth. I’ve worked tirelessly to be a responsible voice in the vaping and harm reduction space. But like many creators in this space, it seems I’ve been swept up in an overly aggressive moderation wave.
@TeamYouTube your algorithm is at it again! Striking videos for breaching guidelines when there’s no links to regulated goods, no websites, no mention of where to purchase anything, and does not promote the purchase of any regulated goods. Please help fix this!
@TeamYouTube this is getting ridiculous, 24 videos removed today, 4 reinstated after appeal, 20 rejected. It don’t make sense they are all the same style video & none of them break the sale of regulated goods community guidelines. No links, no directions to purchase. PLEASE HELP!
@GoBeepUK Of course it’s not the same as smoking! I meant the disposable nature of throw aways. I’m an advocate of vaping, been doing it 14yrs. Watched my dad suffer with chronic COPD, gasping for breath with every step & eventually dying from lung cancer all from 60yrs of smoking cigs.
@GoBeepUK I’m all for a readily available method to quit smoking, the pod systems out now are a great example. What I’m not a fan of is single use throw away culture. But would I rather that than someone smoking of course!
@GMB@ranvir01@edballs Britain again found badly served by low-integrity media. "Tried vaping" means 1 puff in a lifetime. A decline demonstrated by data and ignored in favour of same anti-vape lies that caused panic > curiosity > experimentation spike. Ewan Fisher is an unqualified professional victim
@GoBeepUK The Gov and Big T will be quids in if we end up like Australia as many vapers will just quit and get back on the smokes! But I do agree with you eventually it’ll go underground to the black market and god knows what they’ll be inhaling then or what they’ll be funding! Sad times
@GoBeepUK Whilst I agree with you to a point, once disposables hit the mainstream it was the beginning of the end for the vaping industry as we knew it. Lithium batteries being littered all over the place, youths easily getting their hands on them. Bad press that fuelled anti-vapers.
@GMB@ranvir01@edballs What I don’t get either as adults aren’t we allowed to like flavours other than menthol or tobacco? And we certainly don’t want to follow Australia! Total dictatorship, where’s our freedom of choice!
@GMB@ranvir01@edballs What went wrong was allowing the market to be flooded with disposable vapes, letting little corner shops & super markets sell them instead of vapes shops. This is the government and big tabac companies trying to claw back lost revenue.
@GMB@ranvir01@edballs Totally agree against youth vaping but what a biased one sided view this was. I smoked from the age of 13, suffered with asthma & annual bouts of bronchitis. I’ve vaped since 2010 and been cigarette free since 2013, my lung health is excellent now.
