America’s World Cup hero of last night, Folarin Balogun, is only allowed to play for the US national team because his heavily pregnant Nigerian mother was refused permission by US airlines to fly to the UK, and so the first two months of his life were - by accident - in Brooklyn. It is pretty much inconceivable that if Trump’s immigration enforcement had been in place that Balogun would have been permitted to be born in America. Draw your own conclusions
@zarahussain999 Scotland have a Nation Anthem
Wales have a National Anthem
England do not have a National Anthem,
instead we sing The British National Anthem pretending that it is The English National Anthem.
England still makes incredible things.

I just heard this Romero story! If it’s true, then that sums up everything this club represents — an absolute shambles and a disgrace! No wonder they are in this league position. He is a club captain first and foremost, and then the club has one of the most important games in the last 40 years to ensure they stay up and maintain their Premier League status! He shows no respect to the club, the players, or most importantly, the FANS ! First, why has he chosen to do this? And why has the senior management allowed him to go, Again, a complete failure at managing situations that are crucial for the club by the senior management, CEO, SD, And then they expect our fans to support them on Sunday before the game when the bus arrives before the game but the captain clearly doesn’t give a SH… It’s a disgrace by both the player and, more importantly, the senior management. They can all leave immediately! From a moral standpoint and in terms of respect to FANS AND PLAYERS it’s an absolute disgrace. @SpursOfficial
Although we don’t yet have the details about the motives behind last night's shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner, it’s incumbent upon all us to reject the idea that violence has any place in our democracy. It’s also a sobering reminder of the courage and sacrifice that U.S. Secret Service Agents show every day. I’m grateful to them – and thankful that the agent who was shot is going to be okay.
Does anyone else go to bed thinking about Tottenham Hotspur getting relegated… then wake up thinking about it again?
I love this club, but it’s actually making me feel sick.
