Embarrassing.
Peter Doocy: “A wise man once said, in January 2020: ‘Iran has never won a war, but has never lost a negotiation.’”
President Trump: “Who said that?”
Reporter: “Donald Trump.”
A question I think we need an answer to: If we only targeted Iran's military and military targets, why do they need a $300 billion reconstruction fund? What will they reconstruct?
Reagan is rolling over in his grave. Iran’s nuclear ambitions were not curbed, and they have learned that threatening the Strait of Hormuz works and will undoubtedly leverage it in the future. Now, Iran gets to build brand-new infrastructure under this deal.
Before the war, the strait was open, Iran was being crushed by sanctions, and 13 service members were still alive. Now, 13 Americans are dead, families have paid billions at the pump, sanctions will be lifted, and the bombing has stopped. This is the worst foreign policy blunder in decades.
JD Vance is speedrunning the Obama-selling-the-ACA approach of talking way too much about something he's trying to hype and making it sound worse each time he does
Reporter: "Lindsey Graham is skeptical of the MOU."
Trump: "Lindsey is skeptical? I'll have to talk to Lindsey. He'll be in big trouble…He's not skeptical. He's just fine."
🚨 SAFETY ALERT: Ambassador Herschel Walker has an important message for Americans visiting The Bahamas: Jet ski rentals pose a serious risk of injury, death, and sexual assault. U.S. gov't employees are banned from renting them — and you should avoid them too.

The World Cup has turned into the greatest marketing for America’s 250th imaginable.
People from all over the world raving about hole-in-wall BBQ spots, Waffle Houses, and well-manicured suburbs.
The stuff the intelligentsia turns their noses up at is actually special.
Freddy came to America with very modest plans and limited resources.
He's going to leave with millions of followers. One of the most powerful X accounts on the platform (a big monetization payout). And unforgettable life experiences and hospitality.
The American dream!
USA. A Mexican restaurant. We had not yet ordered anything, and the food was already arriving.
Chips. Salsa. Unrequested. Free.
I stopped the waiter. "We have not earned these."
"They just come with the table, man."
They come with the TABLE. In my land, hospitality is a debt. Every gift creates an obligation, weighed carefully, returned in the proper season with interest of feeling. Here, the gift arrives before you have even proven you can pay for dinner.
This is not an appetizer. This is a declaration: we trust you. Eat.
I ate with the gravity the moment deserved. And then — I must report this calmly — the basket emptied, and a new one appeared.
"Did we…?"
"Refill," the waiter said. "It's bottomless."
Bottomless. They have wells of salsa. The supply lines of this nation are beyond anything my ancestors imagined.
My friend warned me. "Don't fill up on chips, dude."
Too late. I had accepted three baskets. Honor demanded each one be finished — an unfinished gift is an insult. By the time my actual food arrived, I was a ruined man.
I was not hungry. I was not comfortable. I had been defeated by a courtesy.
Generosity that arrives before the request cannot be repaid. It can only be survived.
I know the rule now. I have made my peace with the basket. One basket. Two at the most.
Who am I deceiving. There is no number of baskets I would refuse. The trust of a nation is in that salsa, and I intend to honor all of it.
Now, I’m not watching cable and I’m not getting out other than the standard shopping, so maybe I’m missing it, but this doesn’t feel like (as those who went through it) the bicentennial. Am I missing something?
@DrunkRepub re: Europeans and World Cup - I was telling a friend that I feel like I’m getting more pride from the reactions of fans coming over for the cup than I am anything anyone is doing for the 250th.
