Hipop De Loire would look a good fit for the Melbourne cup, the horse will definitely stay the two mile trip after proving stamina last night in Galway, as an eight year old it makes sense to from the Ebor to Melbourne and with the owners being Polish I wouldn’t think a hurdles
@tekewhiffs I’d still have my reservations about her to be honest even with a few being pulled out I just don’t think she’s a battler and you’d need to be gutsy up the Galway hill
Galway Hurdle Day 🐎
Corrib Stakes: Fingerpaint looked like a nice filly when winning at the curragh and is well drawn here the second has won at Galway since, although fiery Lucy has great form I don’t think she’s a though filly and if it comes to a battle I can see her folding
@TearitallaJay@grantrowe0 I hadn’t seen or heard that the horse failed the vet last year but that’s not to say that it didn’t happen, although with the horse having not run after the ebor until last month I’d imagine that he picked up some type of issue as he didn’t appear over hurdles during the winter
The Bumper: a typical bumper where Mullins will saddle the favorite but value can be found in the field and with the form the Slatterys are at present I think Parnell street will run well here, his half brother is already a Galway winner this week and this lad can do the same.
The Hurdle:In recent times Willie Mullins has a great record in the race and he may well have the answer again with Jalila Moriviere, a lightly raced six year old who’s last run in punchestown has a solid look to it, the services of Townend are always a plus and she’s an improver
@65sooted@Rory_Flanagan If the stable think this horse is useful then there are a lot more people than just the lads in the stable who want to be on it as it’s hard to keep this information in the yard, assume they got on early to avoid disappointment of the price being taken on them.
The sprinting division in the UK&IRE is so wide open it wouldn’t surprise me what horse wins the July cup, I feel over the last number of years the sprinting divisions have been so open that if the big races were reran 5 times you would end up with 5 different winners #JulyCup
@Racing_Previews What’s your opinion on the Ombudsman ride ? Looked like a pretty strange ride from start to finish and the Gosdens had Buick explaining his decisions post race.
The Prix Jean Prat promises to be a cracker, there can be cases made for virtually all the field however on form shadow of light would be the pick, he has top form on good to soft ground and the step up to 7 should bring about improvement, I think he’s value at 3/1.
