@PowerMizzoucom What's the best evidence out there implying Saban paid players at Bama? Has someone close to the program come out claiming they were a part of or witness to a real scandal on this front? What do you know Gabe?
@priceacarter Give me Pat in the top 4 all day, but I don’t mind Drew being very high. By 2018, there’d only been nine 5,000 yard seasons. TB, Peyton, Marino, and Stafford each did it once. Brees had done it 5 times! Single-handedly did it more than the rest of the QBs across NFL history.
@CoronaFTW@AllChiefdUp True. Can't properly rehab the ligament until the meniscus has healed enough post-suture. I think Meniscus re-tear rates are still really high too.
An LCL tear is rare. The ACL is several factors more likely to tear in a single ligament or multi ligament knee injury.
LCLR+ACLR recovery times are definitely longer on average than ACLR alone.
If you ask orthepedic surgeons who do athletes’ knees whether they’d be more confident in a 6-month return timeline for a football player with LCLR vs one with ACLR, they’ll all say ACLR.
@smallbagjohnson@jmthrivept I don’t think they tore their LCLs as well like Pat, did they? Just ACL should be 6-8 months (source: I’ve had 3 ACL reconstructions and probably don’t rehab/heal like a professional athlete).
@YDeezySense@GandalfStaff@chiefsnmahomie@Matty_KCSN There’s no chance they weren’t interested in the only clearly elite one in the draft, and no chance that them and the Browns hadn’t fielded other trade offers to move up for the only clearly elite CB in the draft.
No successful edges are as fast as Micah, yet they’re still successful. MT’s 40-time is in the 78th percentile of edge’s in the NFL. It’s okay to just relax and trust that one of the great dynasties in NFL history (or any franchise for that matter) knows much more than you ever could about grading and utilizing NFL talent.
@jaydave44@GandalfStaff Veach famously discovered and banged the drum to Dorsey and Reid to draft Mahomes after Pat’s sophomore season (over a year before they picked him). Was also the head scout and covered the territory that Chris Jones played in. Was essentially responsible for drafting both.
@Pavel12731495@ouburner@HitStickHicks Longer arms than Micah Parsons (and the same or longer than several of top pressure-getters in the NFL right now).
Right, I’m sure they failed to even consider that they might need to find ways to play to their $14m/year RB’s strengths. I’m starting to question whether or not our staff and execs even go to into the office during the offseason. Probably just golf all day and hope for the best.
