The reason my post below offends so many people is because those same people lack an understanding of contemporary geopolitics and military strategy.
The United States is the world’s most powerful military. No opponent can stand toe-to-toe with us in conventional conflicts. So our opponents must come up with other ways of defeating us, and the Vietnam War taught them how to do this. Our enemies know that if they slowly bleed American deaths through unconventional warfare, the American people will eventually give up and surrender. This is how North Vietnam defeated us. Bin Ladin wrote about this—it’s how he intended to defeat America. Then they couple this strategy with sophisticated information warfare strategies costing millions and designed specifically to break the will of the American people (“Don’t die for Israel!”, e.g.).
So if you are an American who undermines the mission of our fighting men and women while they are in the process of carrying out that mission, you are doing EXACTLY what our enemy wants you to do. Whether you know it or not, you are giving aid and comfort to the enemy.
And that’s OK—we have a First Amendment for a reason. But be honest with yourself and the rest of us as to the way you are giving hope to our enemies and demoralizing and diminishing the men and women who swore an oath to serve you. Just be honest about it and you’ll get no argument out of me.
It’s the lies you tell yourselves that trouble me.
1. Iranian leadership decapitated.
2. Iranians restore a secular government that is not trying to raise the Hidden Imam.
3. Absent funding to Hamas and Hezbollah, the Arab-Israeli conflict ends.
4. Abraham Accords in full force across the region.
5. Peace in the Middle East.
Unlike some of our stupider adventures in places like Somalia and Iraq, this one has clear objectives and a well defined outcome, all without boots on the ground or an enduring US military commitment.
Explained.
If you are a software engineer "experiencing some degree of mental health crisis", now hear this, because I've been coding for 50 years since the days of punched cards and I have a salutary kick in your ass to deliver.
Get over yourself. Every previous "programming is obsolete" panic has been a bust, and this one's going to be too.
The fundamental problem of mismatch between the intentions in human minds and the specifications that a computer can interpret hasn't gone away just because now you can do a lot of your programming in natural language to an LLM.
Systems are still complicated. This shit is still difficult. The need for people who specialize in bridging that gap isn't going to go away.
As usual, the answer is: upskill yourself and adapt. If a crusty old fart like me can do it, you can too.
Join us in celebrating the remarkable life and enduring legacy of Charlie Kirk, an American legend.

@7etsuo I did a Red Team engagement a couple years ago where I named the malware payload “winamp.exe” and called the engagement “Operation Llama Drama”
Friend of mine told me this election has really ripped his family apart.
They are big Trump supporters. He find out his mother-in-law voted for Harris.
He told his wife he's putting his foot down. They no longer can visit her grave.
Democrats insisted “noncitizens don’t vote”
On that basis, they blocked the SAVE Act
Now that thousands of noncitizen voter files are being discovered in state after state, Democrats are trying to stop those states from removing noncitizens from their voter files
Infuriating
The State of Florida will be conducting its own investigation regarding the attempted assassination at Trump International Golf Club.
The people deserve the truth about the would be assassin and how he was able to get within 500 yards of the former president and current GOP nominee.
My Dad dropped out of High School and enlisted in the US Air Force, serving over 23 years. Before the naysayers chime in about not qualified due to today’s technology etc, for most of my Dad’s career he worked in the U-2 and SR-71 programs, the two cutting edge technology programs of the time and eventually got his GED through an Air Force program. The eligibility for non-HS graduates should be reinstated. Having said all that, if our services do not walk away from the wasteful Marxist indoctrination programs of DEI and CRT, this won’t solve the recruitment problems we’re facing. I encourage Master Chief Gonzales to take that on.
Today marks one month since an assassination attempt on President Trump’s life.
Big Tech and the media wants you to move on and forget about it.
We won’t! There must be accountability.
