@awpwol@GlennMicallef@FIFAcom How many times have your franchises relocated to different cities or states, showing total disregard for the fans? In Europe, football is sacred and deeply embedded in local communities. This year's World Cup was the worst of the worst regarding the quality of football on display
I continue to strongly urge the administration not to move forward with any sale of our most advanced F-35 jets. Erdogan has aligned himself with Iran and Russia, harbored Hamas, refused to sanction Russia, undermined American counter-ISIS operations, continues to illegally occupy part of Cyprus, and has repeatedly directed illegal military jet overflights above the Greek Islands, and called for the destruction of Israel. Additionally, he continues to jail his political opponents and has denied dozens of journalists access to the NATO Summit. Providing Turkey with our most advanced fighter jet would jeopardize U.S. national security, risk sensitive technology falling into the wrong hands, and endanger our allies in the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East. https://t.co/Fm9f3DLgZQ
Lifting U.S. sanctions imposed after Turkey acquired the Russian S-400 missile system in 2017 and clearing the way to provide Turkey F-35 fighter jets would be a strategic mistake, undermining the security of the United States, Israel and NATO. Mr. President, Please Don’t.🇺🇸 https://t.co/gFmsQo22SX
WAKE UP CALL AND REMINDER TO THE U.S ON ERDOGAN’S LONG PATTERN OF ANTI-AMERICAN RHETORIC🚨
Here’s a short chronological roundup of Erdogan’s own statements attacking America and its interests. These show a consistent pattern from a so called NATO “ally”:
JANUARY 9, 2018:
“Those (US) who could not succeed in the military coup attempt in Turkey on July 15, 2016 are now searching for a different attempt in our country” - Erdogan
JANUARY 15, 2018:
“The US is insisting on forming a terror army on our borders. What can that terror army target but Turkey? Our mission is to strangle it before it's even born” - Erdogan
AUGUST 23, 2018:
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called for a boycott of iPhones along with other American technology as he whips up anti-US sentiment in increasingly bellicose nationalist speeches
FEBRUARY 28, 2026:
“The US and Israeli attacks on Iran are a clear violation of Iran’s sovereignty”
- Erdogan
President Trump criticized NATO members for not helping the US but forgot that Turkey who he is praising, prohibited USAF missions to use incirlik and Turkish airspace.
Mr President, this is not isolated, it’s a pattern of hostility, double standards and scapegoating America while Turkey pursues its own agenda.
Turkey under Erdogan has repeatedly tested US resolve. Time to hold “allies” accountable and put America First, the world is watching Mr @realDonaldTrump

@HakanFidan I completely agree with you, Hakan. You must take a stand and urge Erdogan to drop Turkey's veto against the Republic of Cyprus joining NATO.
