Huge pet peeve: servers memorizing orders instead of writing it down at a restaurant. Chances of coming back to confirm something: high. Chances of an order being messed: high. Chances the table had a convo about it even if everything ends fine: high. Not impressive. Annoying.
Haven’t bothered to try and watch on my own this year. I’ve seen enough sporadically at bars and restaurants the past few years to know that it’s simply unwatchable.
There have been two days in NBA history, spanning 80 years, where at least nine games were played with an average margin of victory being at least 24 points.
Only two such days. In 80 years.
One was yesterday.
The other was Sunday.
If your company has 15,000+ employees, you should automatically get a 1% bonus any time you successfully get a member of the legal/contracts department to laugh. Usually the most stoic (and often overworked/half-alive) group you’ll find.
I’m told from a bystander who was at the scene shortly after the collision that the biker’s injuries are not considered life-threatening, but have not been able to confirm this with members of local law enforcement or the mayor’s office. #Hoboken
Breaking news out of Hoboken. Delivery driver on e-bike struck near intersection of 8th and Washington streets. Law enforcement and EMS are on the scene assisting. No word yet on condition of the man struck or cause of the collision.

Jersey Mike’s Arena exploded Wednesday when Rutgers scored their 67th point. Loudest cheers of the night. The crowd literally cheered for their own team MISSING the next shot to keep it at 67. The next generation is cooked beyond belief.
All of these coordinated posts from Democrat Senators detailing costs is the ultimate backfire. Just showing what a disaster ACA is. Based on the few I’ve seen, you can back into numbers showing the subsidies costing the average taxpayer over $6k/yr. No thanks.
Early retirees like Bill & Shelly will see their health insurance premiums increase nearly 300%—from $442 to $1,700 per month if Congressional Republicans refuse to extend the enhanced tax credits.
That's an extra $15K a year families can't afford.

Padres will never win anything meaningful with Manny Machado as their “leader.” Hall of Fame player but always saying the wrong things, looking for fights on and off the field, and lacking hustle. Not a recipe for success.
How many more stories like this do we have to hear before we stop accepting crime and criminals as an acceptable part of society? You’re all entitled to your “big voting issues” but it’s beyond me how public safety and crime isn’t at the top of everyone’s list at this point.
NEW: Father of 22-year-old woman who was brutally killed by a career criminal, absolutely unleashes during a House hearing against soft-on-crime policies.
"[He] dragged her out of bed naked, forced on her knees with her hands over her head ... BANG! Dead. Gone."
"Why? Because Alexander Davante Dickey, who was arrested 39 godd*mn times, 25 felonies, was on the street..."
Logan Federico was visiting friends at the University of South Carolina on May 3 when career criminal Alexander Dickey, 30, broke in and shot her before stealing her credit cards and going on a shopping spree.
Dickey had 39 previous arrests and 25 felonies.
Everyone responsible for keeping this man on the streets should be thrown in prison.
Welles Crowther, a former Boston College lacrosse player who had a trademark red bandana, was working in New York on Sept. 11, 2001.
This is the story of how he led people to safety after terrorists struck the World Trade Center.
There are roughly 55 people in the gym right now. 3 do not have headphones. Do we really need to be blasting music in here? All for having some background pump up tunes for those that aren’t rocking headphones, but it does not need to be at an ear damaging level haha.
@akellenberger18 Hand up, I read the first sentence as AL rather than ai. Thought someone had hacked you and was scared to see what message was going to come next.
I don’t have experience with the latest games to compare, but can confidently say Rollercoaster Tycoon played a huge roll in building my financial literacy/business acumen at a young age. Should be used as a teaching tool either in middle school classes or after school programs.
2000s tycoon games were deep strategy games that really forced you manage tradeoffs and balance budgets/spend/revenue
2020s tycoon games are almost all pay-to-win waiting/idle games
