This new Twitter ToS update is concerning to me.

They've added lines allowing content posted to be used in AI training models specifically calling out allowed use in generative AI. The image on the left is the previous ToS from October 9th. The image on the right is the new ToS from October 16th.

This platforms best use continues to be for shitposting.

Examples of what I'm talking about: the Puzzle Continent, delta species / Holon, the Unknown and the crazy shit they can do, and the general art direction of places like Mewtwo's clone island and the lugia movie. You could make so many games with no pokemon league.

Pokemon, especially old gen, has so much potential for unique environments and set pieces. The movies have great environments, locations, and stories. The TCG has some incredible worldbuilding too. If only the games could be like this. Distortion world is closest I think.

Has been in development hell since at least 2021, was originally planned to release in 2023.

This film was being thought of as a reboot of the movie universe to reconnect with lapsed fans, and to try to get a more adult audience to watch the film.

It's set in modern Kanto and the main Mythical Pokémon of the plot is Mew. Two new protagonists: Light and Akari (male / female). The idea is that the film will touch modern society problems, like cyber bullying and suicide.

Directed by Kobun Shizuno (Detective Conan).

It's unclear what has happened to it.
