Non-Exec Director who relaxes by flicking a fly on the water, burying himself in a book and sharing time with friends trying to make the world a better place
"Right-wing billionaires are controlling much of the mainstream media."
"That is a very scary prospect when President Trump makes it clear that he expects loyalty."
Is @mehdirhasan paranoid to think that Trump could close down his media company?
@maitlis | @jonsopel
@GordonFielden Gordon, you are absolutely correct.
@Keir_Starmer & Labour's manifesto is for the full parliamentary term.
Impatience by the media and others after 14 years of destruction of the "State" by the Tories is inevitable but is no excuse to change PM.
Avoid Chaos - keep Starmer
Why doesn’t Farage sit down with a low paid care worker, look them in the eye and tell them the truth.
He voted against a ban on zero hours contracts.
Against sick pay from Day 1.
Against protections from fire & rehire.
He’s not a friend of workers - he’s a political fraud.
Madrid kollabiert. 🇪🇺⛪️🇺🇦
🇬🇧 The Long Game, or How Russians Suddenly Realized They're Being Systematically Reduced to Zero
A remarkably sober — and therefore deeply alarming — realization is beginning to dawn in the swamps. Russian analysts have suddenly opened their eyes and understood that the current fuel crisis in Crimea, the airport shutdowns in Sochi, and the holes in Russia's air defenses are not "random strikes" or a "seasonal escalation."
They are the culmination of a long-term, cold-blooded strategy — one that bears all the hallmarks of a distinctly British style of planning. 🕵️♂️
While the Kremlin was thinking in terms of "taking Bakhmut in ten months" and drawing arrows on maps, Ukraine and its allies were playing a classic game of attrition and interdiction.
Step by step, patiently and methodically, Russia was being pushed into a logistical dead end:
Stage 1: Clearing the Sea
First came Snake Island. Then the opening of the maritime corridor. Then the systematic pushing of Russia's Black Sea Fleet out of Crimea and into Novorossiysk.
The fortress was left without naval cover.
Stage 2: Dismantling the Umbrella (the part Russians prefer not to discuss)
At the same time, Ukrainian forces effectively neutralized Russian aviation at Crimean airfields and systematically destroyed S-400 air defense units.
Whether the occupiers failed to notice or simply refuse to admit it, Crimea was transformed from an "unsinkable aircraft carrier" into a hollow, perforated corridor through which Ukrainian missiles and drones can now pass freely on their way deeper into Russia itself.
Stage 3: Drying Up the Fuel Supply
Instead of random strikes, a steady weekly campaign began against Russian oil refineries and fuel depots.
When you systematically target the same category of infrastructure for months, shortages become not a possibility, but a mathematical certainty.
Stage 4: The Land Corridor Trap
When the Kerch Bridge became increasingly incapable of handling heavy military traffic, the occupiers triumphantly declared:
"We built a railway through Mariupol — we're safe now!"
But it turned out to be a trap.
They had simply concentrated nearly all of their military logistics onto a single narrow route — one that can now be targeted along much of its length.
And now the results are visible:
Fuel depots are burning.
Airports are closing.
The "Crimean authorities" are opening hotlines to ration gasoline to tourists — strictly by passport, and only for a one-way trip toward the bridge. 🎪🚗
SO:
While they comfort themselves with stories about the "treacherous West" and wait for some new negotiator to save them, the noose around southern Russia's logistics network continues to tighten.
A patient, systematic, long-term operation.
The main thing now is having enough fuel left in the tank to reach Kerch.
To leave.
And never come back.
I suppose that would be Stage 5.
Glory to the Armed Forces of Ukraine! 🇺🇦
Just spoke to a business event in the Midlands. Show of hands on whether Starmer should stay or go — 80-20 stay. Has been similar at several recent events. Really interesting to see such a chasm between political/media bubble view, and out and about. Main reasons given “stability …. May not like some of the decisions but we are used to them now … fear of similar chaos as under the Tories … feeling that any PM with a decent majority has “the right and the duty” to serve a full term … May not be the most charismatic but “can the others really do much better in the circs?” … sense that media make everything seem worse than it is … worry that “country first, party second” exposed as hollow.
It was terrible Mr Vice President what happened. And lessons will be learned. But here’s a thought - maybe concentrate instead on why 44000 Americans died last year from gun related deaths, and what can be done about your dreadful disease before you start lecturing others
🇺🇦💪Russians drove up to Ukrainian Armed Forces positions… and simply surrendered.
Entire crews approached in tanks and BMPs right up to Ukrainian trenches, stopped, opened the hatches, and said: “Take the equipment, just don’t shoot.” Soldiers and officers came out with their hands raised; some even helped move the tanks onto Ukrainian positions.
Within a few hours, our fighters received dozens of operational Russian vehicles along with ammunition. The Russians were surrendering en masse—without a fight, without resistance, as if they were simply tired of the war.
'Do you not think you'd have more credibility with listeners if you just said "yeah, we screwed up"?'
Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp absolves the Tories of all responsibility for the current prison crisis, despite being in power for 14 of the last 16 years.
@Lewis_Goodall
Well then, the news is confirmed — the swamps are howling to the skies.
We are receiving 16 Gripens, and you understand what that means: if this has already been officially announced, then everything is ready.
And here are some aspects of the aircraft that, it seems, still haven’t been widely discussed.
The Gripen was designed in Sweden specifically for partisan-style warfare in the event of a possible war with the USSR. It can take off and land on ordinary highways or forest roads, requiring only about 500–800 meters of usable surface.
An F-16, by comparison, needs a perfectly clean and long runway, making its airfields priority targets. Gripens, however, can be hidden and dispersed across the entire country.
Fast and simple maintenance:
The Gripen does not require an army of elite engineers or massive stationary equipment for turnaround servicing. A small team of a few technicians or conscripts can refuel and rearm it in just 10–20 minutes прямо “in the field” using a single support vehicle.
Weapons integration:
Right out of the box, it is compatible with almost all Western missiles and guided bombs that Ukraine already has or is receiving. No need for improvised modifications or complicated software adaptations.
And if they arrive together with Meteor missiles with a range of 150+ km… well… the glide-bomb carriers are going to have a very bad time.
I don’t believe in coincidences. God gave us an American Pope to avoid miscommunication and misinterpretation.
Rad-Trads are seething right now, they’re no better than liberals.
Pray for the Pope. May God have mercy on any Catholic that doesn’t put full trust in any Pope..
Tucker Carlson exposes the terrifying power of the Zionist lobby in the UK. He confirms prominent politician Jeremy Corbyn was completely driven out of public life simply because he opposed Israel.
The entire British political establishment is bought and paid for!
WORKING HARD OR HARDLY WORKING ⁉️
Aaron Parnas reported the folks at the White House are pretty mad at reporters for sharing photos of Donald Trump snoozing. Share, share, share. 😅
Sleepy Donatelli
SOUND UP!! Trump fans called Biden Sleepy Joe for years
Now I need MAGA to explain this video with a straight face. 💯
Whatever you do, DO NOT share this.
Would be a shame if Sleepy Don went viral. 🤣
I have so much admiration for Keir Starmer in the face of such continued onslaught by the media.
Quite simply, he doesn’t deserve it, and a pity that so many cannot see the wood for the trees, so to speak.
Inexorably, he is turning this country around, and that’s not something you do easily or overnight.
It’s been less than 2 years for fuck sakes.
We need to stick with him.
Now is ABSOLUTELY NOT the time for a change of Prime Minister.
End of.

#BackOffBurnham, you disloyal and silly little opportunist, you.
A post found by the Telegraph from Robert Kenyon, Reform’s Makerfield candidate, saying Russia was “ within its rights” to invade Ukraine is enough for me to hope he doesn’t win.
If he doesn’t understand Putin is our enemy he has no right to be an MP.
