I come back to this speech every once in a while:
“in the 1,526 singles matches I played in my career, I won almost 80% of those matches
… what percentage of points do you think I won in those matches?
only 54%.”
The Trump Administration is leaving no stone unturned to help accelerate investment across the critical minerals supply chain-from mining to processing to manufacturing-to reduce dependence on non-market suppliers and help strengthen our economic security.
Ferrari’s issue isn’t just lack of pace anymore. If Leclerc’s brakes failed, that’s a safety issue! Hard to sell the road-car mystique when the F1 car can’t be trusted to stop. $RACE

#F1 | There’s been confirmation of rumours that Lewis Hamilton has been using Carbon Industrie brake discs since the Japanese Grand Prix after a long year complaining about brake issues. The reason why this has been brought up? Charles Leclerc is now complaining of brake issues.
I invite you to read an article I wrote back in April 2025 when this was a pertinent issue for Hamilton. I broke down the main differences between the Brembo and C.I’s as well as how it affected Lewis and his racing.
While Charles has been driving on Brembos for as long as he can remember, the characteristics of these brakes might start to have a negative effect on his driving.

@A_May_MD Agree colonic dysplasia isn’t cancer. I believe it appears in the table because it was captured by a MedDRA SMQ for malignant/unspecified tumours, which includes malignancy-related terms/conditions, not just confirmed cancers. Adjudication + full case narrative will address it.
@A_May_MD Absent a plausible mechanism, it’s biologically hard to attribute de novo solid tumours to short trial exposure. Breast/prostate cancers don’t generally arise and become clinically detectable within ~44 weeks; solid tumour development is typically measured in years.
@RKLBMan So at best, they could consider Neutron as an additional launch provider, but that depends on reliability, price, schedule and how quickly Neutron proves itself. (No idea if this makes any sense 🤣)
@RKLBMan I calculated (back of the napkin) that Neutron should be able to launch a BBB2, probably one per mission (perhaps even two, not sure). But no way that could happen with early Neutron missions (once it launches).
@cekdrew That’s something I can’t imagine. Not saying it’s impossible (and unlike you Cek, I have no expertise in this area) - but just based on common sense, why would China voluntarily give up its main source of leverage?
No. 1 Jannik Sinner, one of the biggest Grand Slam favorites in #tennis history, does not make it past the second round. Melts down in the Paris heat with a seemingly impregnable 6-3, 6-2 5-1 lead and loses 18 of the final 20 games and the match to Juan Manuel Cerundolo
Hard to believe unless you watched it

@AukFerdi78@RKLBMan Astrolab’s rover was always the “distant” third (LTV). Lunar Outpost built a solid, robust vehicle, so that’s not a surprise. But IM’s rover was the most NASA-tested and a frontrunner for the award for quite a while. That they didn’t get an award is surprising. Just my 2c
