@ryboooooooo@JomboyMedia More believable than the “he was waving at his family” per the coach.
Regardless, a discretionary call, and this time the discretion didn’t go the young man’s way.
I hate seeing it because the real consequence is the suspension for the next game. He’ll learn.

@SmallwoodTrent I'm old, so maybe I've missed the latest trend. Is this how kids wave now, while not looking at what you circled as "his family." 🤨
I respect the ride-or-die defense of your guy, but I'm not sure how you expect an umpire to interpret this any differently in real time.

@Abnerish@JomboyMedia The issue is that it’s in the rulebook and it’s a discretionary call. If you don’t want discretion involved, take it out of the umpire’s hands and go touch home. Can’t be outraged that a discretionary rule was enforced simply because the umpire’s discretion didn’t match your own.
@HuntPalmer88 Everyone wants to debate the umpire’s discretion. Considering the consequence is a suspension, what if players DIDN’T leave that discretion in the hands of the official tasked with enforcing the rules?

@Ashncoll I recommend getting involved in youth sports and seeing the trickle-down effect for yourself. The issue isn’t energy or excitement, it’s where it’s directed. Celebrating with your dugout is one thing. Telling the other team to suck it is another…thats what X is for.

@xanbarksdale Welcome to 2026, where you no longer can’t just do something…you have to do it and talk about it, post it, add it to your story, etc….or it apparently doesn’t count.

@barstoolsports Post fight hug lasted longer than the fight. Rough night for anyone who invested in this dog shit. Never wasting my precious seconds again to watch any fight on @netflix.
