@sarahdespres@CitizenCohn This is like saying "our belief is there are just too many diseases." It does suck that viruses and bacteria have found so many ways of killing us, but the reaction should be happiness that we have found a way to combat them.
@StephenM@elwasson Except that the scoring of the tax cuts when they were put into place was with an expiration date. If you wanted the tax cuts to last forever you should have scored them that way the first time!
They really think that they are the only essential human agents and the rest of us are disposable. A stunning and virulent delusion. The enemies of society now rule it.
1. Politically, the key thing to understand is tariff crisis is above all else a constitutional crisis. Under USA constitution, power of tariffs belongs to congress, not president.
We’re built to struggle, to exert, to care. That’s where meaning comes from.
Joseph Campbell said it best: “People say that what we’re all seeking is meaning for life. I don’t think that’s what we’re really seeking. I think that what we’re seeking is an experience of being alive."
In a world that pulls us toward ease and passivity, the most radical act may be choosing to engage.
Protect that.
This guy is a leech on the public. No matter how many billions he gets in tax cuts and government contracts, it will never be enough for him.
Now he’s going after the elderly, the disabled, and orphaned children so he can pocket it in tax cuts for himself.
It’s disgusting.
