“we’re both responsible for our own projects. we’re professionals, so we each try to do all the promotion we can.”

then she jokingly turned it back on him:

“actually, a lot of people take photos of us secretly. so i often have to go over and ask them to delete the pictures. we can’t really do anything about our own faces being shown, but for our child, it’s still a bit of a concern if those photos get out. there will definitely be times when our child needs to go out and about freely even when we’re not around, and if people recognize him, it could certainly limit his freedom. i’ve become a bit more sensitive about his face being exposed. so, in that regard, it’s still a bit of a concern.”

“if my son wants to do it, i really want to support him. of course, it’s a field with many difficulties, but isn’t that true for every job?

if my son has a lot of talent, i’d actively recommend it. even if i don’t see any particular talent, if he genuinely wants to do it, how could a parent stop him? i think he should try it first, and if he realizes it’s not the right path for him, he can look for another option.

from what i’ve seen so far, he has good expressiveness, but when i saw him on stage at his christmas recital last time, he was the only one who froze. i think he still has stage fright.”

"i have so much respect for everyone who manages both childcare and work. even when you’re not taking care of your child, mothers keep thinking about their child, so their brains are basically running at full capacity.

there are so many things you have to think about while caring for a child, what side dishes to prepare, what to pack, how many diapers are left, what’s in the fridge, and so on. it’s really not easy.

when you’re working, just focusing on that alone can already feel overwhelming. but then your brain has to keep running for childcare too, so there are times when it feels like a lot. that’s why i think mothers have it hard.

i think ages two to three are probably the hardest. now that i’ve raised him to four, we can actually communicate, and i can even scold him. he’s also not the type to throw a lot of tantrums, so i’m grateful even for that.

even though it’s hard, the happiness a child gives you is incomparable, so i’m living with so much gratitude. i’m grateful that he’s healthy and that we can spend time together as a family like we do now. but it’s definitely not easy."

🐰: i actually spun the silk from the silkworms myself. it was actually my first time seeing a silkworm. but it was so cute watching them eat the mulberry leaves. when you get a close-up of them...

🐰: yeah, they were so cute. so i got to take a few of them home.

🗣: so you can raise them at home too?

🐰: apparently, you can.

🗣: and then they produce silk?

🐰: they do. i even raised them all the way into moths.

jichangwook: but it was really my first time seeing that too. i’d never seen someone raise silkworms all the way into moths before. seriously, i’ve never seen that in my entire life.
