@adamfare1996 Given that it’s a whole ordeal and very costly in order to prove a person doesn’t have capacity to make decisions, or manage their own finances, the default position is that they in fact, do.
@PaulRidley5 My 19 year old daughter has been out of education since finishing school purely due to Local Authority failing to complete her EHCP review on time. I’ve been her carer since she was born. It’s now full time, no breaks. £81 per week.
@Danwhite1972 And now her social worker and caseworker have gone silent on me and not responding to emails. All the while, my daughter has an EHCP that’s apparently worth nothing because no one is educating her.
@Danwhite1972 My daughter doesn’t have a college place. We have been visiting colleges able to meet her needs for 2 years. We told the LA our preference in June 2023. Her AR stated the same preference Sept 23. They refused it July2024 when it was too late for any plans.
@realdealtsteele @CrucibleOfThght You are going to lose your mind when you discover there is at least one case of an XY individual who has naturally conceived, carried and given birth.
@supertanskiii My daughter has SEN and attended a special school with medically vulnerable young people. At the end of June, we were notified that there was a case of Covid in her class. 2 weeks later, we were notified of the passing of a student. Yes, those 2 things were linked. 😢
@sallyephillips The discussions on her placement should have been occurring in winter 2023, but no action was taken at all until April, and that was only when my chosen provision formally offered a place. LA believe that is too expensive so they want a cheaper option.
@sallyephillips My 19 year old SEN daughter left school yesterday. There is no provision named on her EHCP for September. I told the LA where I wanted her to go in October 2023 but they have failed to action anything. Now I’m being told no to our choice, but given no suitable provision.
